"I would definitely recommend Tony and his crew. I had Tony replace 2 exterior doors - very happy with the results. Great price, they cleaned up before leaving, and even came back the next day to make a slight adjustment to the door after it settled a bit."

"Absolutely a better experience than we anticipated. ProEdge is a responsive company, and they know the value of customer service. We will be reaching back out to have them complete our window projects once our addition is completed, and to replace exterior doors."

"Unfortunately it took awhile to get the door due to the Corona virus, (not Aladdin's fault), however it was well worth the wait. I'm very pleased with the quality of our new patio door. Also the two men who delivered and installed the door were very personable, professional and did an excellent job from start to finish. This is the first time I used this company and would definitely use them again if the need should arise. I highly recommend them to anyone who may need their services. Great experience!"

"I was very pleased with the service I received. The locksmith was friendly, did a great job, and went the extra mile to adjust some doors he worked on that were not closing properly. I also found the price to be very reasonable. Terrific experience all around!"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

The average cost to repair a window is about $400, with prices typically ranging from $175 to $1,500. The final cost is influenced by several factors, including:

  • Number of Panes: Single-pane repairs average around $200, double-pane repairs range from $200 to $400, and triple-pane repairs can cost $600 to $1,100.

  • Type of Repair: Minor fixes for a track, seal, or sash are more affordable than repairs for broken glass or window frames, which are typically the most expensive.

  • Window Details: The size, type, and material of the window affect the price.

  • Accessibility: Windows on upper floors or in hard-to-reach locations may increase labor costs.

  • Other Factors: The extent of the damage, local labor rates, and the need for emergency service will also impact the total cost.

For comparison, a full window replacement can range from $175 to $1,800 or more for high-end materials or large windows like bay or bow windows.

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.

Yes, you can fix windows without replacing them. However, this will depend on the severity of the issue and what your needs are. Minor water damage, broken glass, damaged casing, and worn caulking are usually easy repairs. But if there is excessive damage, the windows are constantly foggy, or the windows are very old, it’s best to consider replacing them. Replacement windows cost between $575 and $1,475 per window, or an average of $850 per window.

Most solar screens last 10 to 15 years, depending on the material quality, exposure to weather, and the level of maintenance. High-quality materials and regular cleaning can extend their lifespan, while harsh climates or neglect may shorten it. Routine cleaning, inspecting for damage, and avoiding harsh cleaners can help extend the lifespan of your screens.
