"Literally getting the phone call from them within 60 seconds after I entered my information. The job is done with reasonable price within 1 hour. Replacing stained glass is not an easy job everyone else can do, glad to see skilled people can take care of this around NY area."

"Company very responsive. Was able to come right away to see what needed to be done. As they worked, unfortunately one replacement window pane broke. They immediately returned to their store and returned later the same day with more glass, which was installed without incident."

"This was fine. They came in, they did the work and they cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with them. They weren't cheapest they weren't the most expensive. They guy came in, they gave me a written estimate and the guy showed when he was supposed to and they got done when they were supposed to be done and the price was the same as the estimate."

"

Everything went well.  Workers came and cleaned up.  No problems with installation.

If you want your windows done, call them.  If you are "thinking about it".  Don't call.  They will call you daily afterwards.  I had to block them from my phone as they continue to call me every 2 days for what I don't know.  Work was well but the phone calls are annoying.

"Installed crown molding, quarter round, replaced two interior doors with steel doors, installed two new French doors, replaced one large window, replaced garage siding and a few ad hoc repair jobs. Professional and reliable from the beginning to end of job. I am new to this area and I did not know who to call. I placed one call to Navarro and all my jobs were completed to my total satisfaction. I would recommend Navarro to anyone needing work done. If you do not see your project listed, just call. Most accommodating contractor I have ever worked with."

"Kurt is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a contractor!  We gave Kurt some photos that we found on the internet of basement ideas that we liked.  He not only was able to create each of the ideas I gave him, but he improved upon them.  He was professional and followed through on everything he committed to plus anything else he could think of to make the end product even better.
He installed a 9' wet bar with a granite countertop.  The bar has a stained glass lightbox over the sink.  He installed mirror and glass shelves along the bar back wall in-between pillars.  It is simply beautiful!  We had him build an entertainment wall that included 2 built in book cases to hold all of the electronics that needed to be hooked into the TV.  He was able to conceal all of the cords and electrical outlets leaving us with a very clean looking media wall.  He hung our flat screen TV on a wall of stacked travertine rock tiles.  It absolutely turned out stunning!  He used more of the stone for the front of the bar then ran a rope light under the granite that make the stone absolutely glow!
My favorite feature in the room was what he did with the 3 support poles in the middle of the room.  Before the flood, we had such a hard time trying to make them look like something besides ugly poles.  He boxed them in with wood, then did a custom raised panel effect with crown molding.  The poles are now beautiful wooden pillars!  He built a half wall between two of the poles that is located behind the couch and divided the room perfectly without impairing anyone's view of the TV!  If you go to his website he will have photos of this project!  You really have to see it to fully appreciate how happy this homeowner is with his new basement!
I am confident that you could hire Hoffman Restoration to do any construction work in your home and get a beautiful end product and a very good experience with an honest contractor."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.

Glass block windows come in various patterns and styles that offer privacy and unique aesthetics. Frosted or textured glass diffuses light and enhances privacy. Wave-pattern glass blocks imitate ocean waves with flowing lines. Ice-glass blocks resemble cracked ice. Fluted glass blocks feature parallel vertical grooves, adding texture and depth. Clear glass blocks, similar to glass Coke bottles, offer transparency with some distortion and may have smooth surfaces or subtle textures, adding visual interest.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.

Glass block windows typically last for 15 to 30 years, which is slightly less than the 20- to 50-year lifespan of standard windows. You can extend their life by resealing them every few years. Professional installation is also key to ensuring the windows are placed correctly and will function properly for years to come. A professional installer will have the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to install these features and can identify potential issues like damaged frames or cramped areas during a consultation.
