"Riz was very prompt in setting up the appointment. He was very punctual and arrived as scheduled. He removed the old lighted ceiling fan and replaced it with a new one, which I might add, he picked up the new one and remote too and brought it to my house after I had sent him a picture of the fan I wanted! Afterwards Riz cleaned up the entire work area and left it as clean when he started!! That was SO AWESOME! FAN AND LIGHT LOOKS AWESOME AND WORKS PERFECTLY ð ð ð ð ¤ ð ¤ ð ð ¯ð ð ð ð ð AWESOME "HANDY MAN and would use again. Very friendly and knowledgeable and explains everything along the wayð ð"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

No, you should not use an extension cord with an aboveground pool pump. In addition to being dangerous as a tripping hazard, use of an extension cord could void your pool pump’s warranty. This is because using an extension cord not rated for use with the pool filter pump could damage this equipment.

Shock can clear a cloudy pool if the problem is insufficient free chlorine or an accumulation of chloramines from “spent” chlorine. However, it can make the issue worse if a high level of chlorine or a pH imbalance is the root cause of the problem. Test your pool water before treating the cloudiness to ensure you’re making the right call.

Some pool professionals recommend adding an extra layer of comfort and protection between your pool and the vinyl liner. Made from a range of plastic blends, these liners can absorb moisture, allow the pool liner to breathe, and act as an extra barrier for pests, burrowing animals, and mildew. They also provide an extra layer of comfort for swimmers.

Yes, you should keep your pool pump running when adding salt, and leave it running for 24 to 48 hours. This will help circulate the salt to ensure even distribution. You will want to turn off your pool’s salt chlorine generator before adding salt and leave it off until it fully dissolves. Check your manufacturer’s instructions for steps specific to your saltwater pool maintenance.

The formula you’ll use to measure your pool will differ based on the shape of your pool. For a rectangular pool, you’ll use the following formula to find the size in gallons: length x width x depth x 7.5. If the depth changes from one end of your pool to the other, take the average by finding the depth at the deepest and most shallow points and dividing that number by two. Circular and oval pools require different, more complicated formulas, which can be found in this article.
