Byron completed the project in a timely fashion. He was polite, professional, and made sure that we were satisfied with the work he had done.

I hired Byron to replace a rotten gatepost, and repair two wooden gates. The post was butted against the sidewalk, and a sprinkler head was right next to it. Byron set the post without disturbing anything else, and repaired both gates even better than when they were first installed. He gave me a good price, and the workmanship was EXCELLENT. He was prompt, and I couldn't be more pleased. I will definitely recommend him to neighbors and friends.

Byron was awesome. We had someone crash into our backyard and take out a portion of our privacy fence and duck coop. He understood the urgency of the repairs and was able to start working right away. They did a great job, replaced a broken gate post. It was a post between a walk-through gate and a drive-through gate. They had to take the fence apart, both gates off. When they were done..; everything lined up great. The drive-through gate post locked all lined up. The walk-through gate locks all lined up. They are very experienced and what they do. I would hire them again Brinley crew.

A nightmare. Byron lied to me about a neighbor agreeing to his bid on replacing a shared fence. I paid him a deposit based on two fence sections one shared, one completely mine and thus overpaid him for my sole section of fence. He never offered to return the overpayment on his own and I had to ask three times to get it back. His crew did not know building codes fence heights, setbacks, etc. They seemed to have no idea what style of fence they were building or what I had discussed with Byron and I repeatedly had to tell them and remind them of the building codes something they certainly should have been well aware. They did not know what a shadow box fence style was. Byron tried to skirt permit requirements telling me first that I did not need a permit and later to just lie on the application and say that I myself was personally building the fence. He wanted to start the job before the permit was approved. I said no. He was not a registered contractor with the City of Lakewood causing delays. This was curious since I know for a fact he had recently been building and repairing fences in Lakewood. FYI building or repairing a fence in Lakewood without a permit puts you at risk that the City will order you to tear it all down. That is not a risk I was willing in any universe to take. Construction quality was poor. A section they built along the driveway was too high at the farthest point and Byron threatened to charge me more to fix it. The concrete for fence posts started cracking and crumbling in a week most likely because they mixed quick set cement in the post hole instead of a bucket and did not mound the cement up around the post. This will not last and will cause water to sit at the base of the post, seep down around the post and eventually rot it. I asked the crew to use screws on the shadow box section so I could remove planks for better stain application. They did not and half the planks are nailed. They did not stage the job with materials until the day they started work even though I asked that materials be delivered early. Some of the rails are so sub-par (rotten in parts) they will not hold up any better than the poorly set posts. I never saw a single receipt for materials. Byron himself never came to inspect the fence his workers built. He called me about an hour after they left and asked if everything was okay. It was never okay starting with his initial lie to me to get my money. I just sucked it up because getting money back from a contractor is harder than getting a divorce! Even repairing a fence in Lakewood requires a permit and Bryon White tried to convince me to completely replace a fence without a permit and then to lie on the application about who was actually building it. Do not hire Byron White. He is dishonest and will scam you given half a chance. I see from other comments about Mr. White I am not the first person to have this type of experience with him.
