Small jobs welcome

"Juan has done work for us over several years and we keep asking him to do more! He most recently helped patch holes in our drywall and ceiling, He also repaired our attic hatch, replaced the seal at the bottom of our garage door, installed a storm door, and put in a latch to hold our furnace filter in place. Juan does quality work AND is reasonably priced. He gives free estimates and schedules the work in a timely manner! We found a gem many years ago and will continue to hire him for projects!"

Small jobs welcome

"Larry did a beautiful job, He built shelves, caulked and painted them; installed ceiling fans and painted the ceiling where needed. He also installed a grab bar in the shower. He vacuumed after his work was completed. I am very, very pleased."

"We were getting new windows and doors (21 windows and three doors). We hired Focal Point Interiors & Exteriors to remove all of the blinds and shades; prep, caulk and paint the new trim around window and doors; then reinstall all the blinds and shades. Brett and Trevor did an excellent job, while exceeding expectations to meet our deadline before the Thanksgiving Holiday!! Highly recommend! In addition, we had Brett come back a week later to install two toilets and new sink/faucets, this work included removing a tiled shelf above the toilets, drywall, texturing and painting. Very happy with the quality of work and professionalism! Thanks again Brett! We will definitely have Focal Point back to help with small and large home improvement projects!! Can’t wait!!"

"NR Willis contacted me very quickly after I submitted a request on Angi. They gave me an affordable quote and was able complete the work within a couple days. The job consisted of fixing some trim, paint and caulking on three windows that were recently replaced and not done correctly by my window installers. They normally donâ t do paint jobs, but since this was a small job, they did it. Thank you!"

"We hired this company to help clean out 20+ years of junk from a barn. They were excellent at organizing the project as well as the two young men who came out to house had excellent personalities and worked about 9 hrs straight, including two runs to the dump. They never complained and worked tirelessly! What was supposed to take two days, actually only took us one long day. Amazing how much we were able to get accomplished with their help!!"

My focus is quality and customer service. My Dad taught me how to work with my hands and appreciate hard work. I love doing repairs, flooring and updating a residence. I enjoy working with customers to find a solution that's affordable and genuinely love what I do.

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, many repair services include blade sharpening as part of the maintenance package.

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.

There are a few advantages to hiring a handyperson as a contractor, namely that they will likely charge less for their services since they don’t have as much overhead. A handyperson might also have more flexibility and be more involved in your specific home project, so you can communicate with one person instead of a subcontractor team.

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

Before hiring a handyperson, it's important to ask several questions to ensure they are the right fit for the job. Key areas to cover include their experience, logistics, and job specifics.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • What kind of work do you specialize in?

  • How long have you been doing this kind of work?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Do you have references?

  • Can you provide before-and-after photos of your work?

Estimates and Contracts:

  • Do you charge for estimates?

  • Will you provide a written estimate and contract?

  • Does the estimate cover both labor and materials?

  • How much do you expect materials to cost?

Project Details and Guarantees:

  • When can you start the job, and how long do you expect it to take?

  • Do you provide a guarantee for your work?

  • Will you handle cleanup and waste disposal after the job is finished?

  • Do you have any questions about the projects on my list?
