"Ben and Tom arrived in the 2 hour window they said they would.  I showed them through our townhouse we are emptying and the marked things we wanted hauled away.  They worked for the better part of an hour picking and choosing the next item to put into their truck until they'd gotten everything.  Tom brought to my attention a box he'd taken out that was marked to be hauled away that he was concerned I might not want to lose.  Good thing he did, because, I'd mistakenly left a tag on a box I then used to put stuff we wanted to keep.  That was excellent service in my opinion."

Dumpster Service questions, answered by experts

If you choose to break down a piano on your own, a 10-yard dumpster should be large enough to hold the individual parts. Keep in mind that junk haulers may not allow you to place a whole piano in a rollaway dumpster, but this will depend on the company, your contract, and local laws. That being said, choosing the right dumpster size will save you from the headache of over-filling the container during your cleanout.

We need junk removal services for certain projects because they know how to dispose of all kinds of junk safely, including hazardous materials. For example, they could tell you what is considered electronic waste and will know how to dispose of it properly. This means they take proper precautions to ensure the environmental impact is mitigated and everyone's health and safety are taken into consideration when removing junk.

The best way to choose the right dumpster size for your project is to speak with a reputable dumpster rental company. Let them know what job you’re doing, including the size of the project and the type of material you’re disposing of. These professionals have experience with fitting heavy and bulky items and can advise on how to dispose of everything safely and legally. A representative should be able to guide you in choosing the best dumpster for the job. In most cases, the company will advise you to size up to avoid overage charges.

It depends on the amount of trash you need to unload. Generally, renting a dumpster is more cost-effective than taking trash to the dump yourself if you are dealing with a significant amount of waste. For a small carload worth of junk, it is far cheaper to bring it to the dump yourself.

When deciding what order to pack your home, starting with non-essential items such as seasonal decor, rarely used kitchenware, and extra linens is always a smart idea. Next, pack decorations and out-of-season clothing. Then move to kitchen items, electronics, and bathroom supplies, leaving essentials for last. Finally, pack a "first-night" box with must-haves like toiletries, clothes, and essential documents.
