"I had a massive asbestos abatement removal at my recently purchased home. Matt and his team were very professional and did an amazing job removing 53 year old popcorn ceilings throughout my house. Project took 2 weeks and cost $45,000. I would definitely recommend Clean Sweep Environmental for any hazmat project!"

"I would have hired Colorado Mold Services, but a miscommunication with my wife, and she went another route. Case in point: talk to your spouse! :) That being said, I could not have been more pleased with the professionals at Colorado Mold Services. From start to near-finish for us, they were responsive, affordable, and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Everyone on the team there seems as though they have a PhD in Biology and know everything there is to know about mold. They take a caring approach centered around families health first. They will work with you and your budget to craft the most appropriate solution for mold remediation. Colorado Mold Services is at the top of my list, God forbid, we ever have to deal with a remediation situation again."

Small jobs welcome

"Jeremiah came out and tested the air and moisture and other items to determine if I had mold in my basement. After getting the test results there was evidence of mold and he recommended a company that provides a do it yourself kit for mold remediation. (Not cheap). After getting the items and realizing that there was more work, it would have been better for me to let my insurance company handle this as I do have coverage for mold/fungi. Though having a professional do the work is expensive, from what Jeremiah mentioned, it does not guarantee that the work will be complete or the source of the problem taken care of. He mentioned most companies will take care of the mold but not necessarily the cause of the mold. For this I would have to contact another company."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Rockwool insulation is permeable to moisture, meaning that humidity can get inside the insulation. However, since this insulation is moisture resistant, once dry, your rockwool insulation should return to normal without losing performance or becoming damaged. Keep in mind, that surrounding parts of your home can still become damaged from water damage, so it's important to take action if you have a leak in your home even if rockwool is moisture resistant.

According to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, there are over 10,000 kinds of mushrooms, and some are harmful to both humans and animals. However, not all mushrooms are harmful—some feed on thatch and wood, which provides nutrients for grass and plants.

But unless you’re a mushroom expert (mycologist), it can be hard to tell poisonous mushrooms from non-poisonous. So if you have kids or pets (or both), removing them is the safest route to take.

Toxic black mold on wood appears as dark green or black patches. It often has a slimy or wet texture and may spread across the surface in a spotty pattern. The affected wood might appear discolored, soft, and damp. Identifying black mold early is crucial because it can cause severe health problems when its spores are released into the air. Prompt remediation is necessary to prevent further damage and health risks.

In mild cases of mold growth, you can DIY mold remediation with a simple cleaning using safe and natural cleaning solutions like baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, or lemon juice. However, if the mold is larger than 10 square feet or you suspect toxic black mold, you should not do mold remediation on your own. Instead, you should hire a professional mold removal company to handle the job.

Noxious weeds can be poisonous or act as an irritant to humans, but not all are directly harmful. However, indirectly, noxious weeds also compete with native species, effectively affecting our local ecosystems of plants, pollinators, and other animals.
