"I ended up moving the day after a huge snowstorm rolled through the area, and was nervous - would the movers even show up? Would the snow mess up the process?
I'm happy to report that with Fischer Van Lines, my concerns were unwarranted. The team showed up right on time, and helped me finish shoveling out the driveway (at no charge). We did a quick loop of the house to go over what needed to move, and they immediately got to work. The team hustled to get everything onto the truck quickly, and did the same on the other end - in fact, when they realized we were approaching the end of the minimum time estimated they immediately picked up the pace to avoid pushing us into another half-hour charge. We ended up finishing the move faster than was originally estimated, saving me a few hundred dollars.
The team was hardworking and professional throughout, and maintained a great attitude despite moving a ton of furniture in miserable weather. While it might be cheaper to rent a U-Haul and bribe some friends to help, it is so very worth hiring professionals, and these guys are the best I've worked with.  I'd happily recommend Fischer to anyone looking for a quality in-town mover.
