"We highly recommend Louis Cordova for his professionalism and his skills as an electrician. Louis successfully completed a complex whole-house electrical upgrade. His work was inspected/checked thoroughly and approved on the first review by the State of Colorado Electrical Inspector. Marie N & Dave Silva."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"What didn't this company do. Matt was awesome he built the roof on both my front porch and my back deck. He built a a door bookshelf which hides a clothes closet (I use for my yarn. He put up beams, layed my flooring, fixed my gutters, put trim up and installed my bathroom faucet. He is very dependable and through. I will be hiring him to remodel my master bathroom."

"If I I could give Christian a 10, I absolutely would! I needed an old light fixture repaired, and he contacted me right away. He communicated clearly and gave me professional advice about the situation. He even came out the same day and was able to fix it on the spot. Christian was kind, professional, and even helped me put the bulbs back in! I highly recommend Transformed Electric."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

GFCI outlets should be clearly labeled with LINE and LOAD labels, with arrows leading to the proper terminals. The line terminals are typically at the top, and the load terminals are typically at the bottom.

Systems should be checked every 2-3 years or whenever signs of age appear, maintaining network integrity and safety at all times.

Yes, electric-start snow blowers need to be plugged in to start, but you can unplug them and go once they’re up and running. Simply plug the snow blower into an outdoor outlet and press the start button. Once it starts, you can unplug it and use it freely. The idea for these types of snow blowers is to simplify the starting process from the typical pull-string starts.

Yes, but our analogy with the water hose doesn’t really work here. You see, electrical flow isn’t constant: It ebbs and flows like waves, coming in pulses of power. Hertz measures the rate of change in the flow of electricity, or how often it ebbs and flows. For example, 60Hz means that the electrons pulse through wiring 60 times per second. When they are pulsing, they’re in a brief retreat. Almost all United States equipment is rated for 60Hz.

The most common gauge for indoor outlets around your home is 12- and 14-gauge wires. But if you’re working with larger appliances like ovens, washing machines, or dryers (all of which require more amplitude), you might find 10-, eight-, or six-gauge wires to help support those hefty appliances.
