I asked him to help me decide whether to demolish the old tile floor or just install the new tile over it. He gave me a good list of pros and cons based on his experience, which enabled me to make an informed decision. (The other two contractors I talked to about this were unsure and non-committal, which was not helpful). Ben also educated me about Schluters, which he recommended for the steps.
