"No project was to big for Robert! I had total of 6 tall elm trees that Robert and his company was able to service , four that needed to be taken down and two that needed to be trimmed. All the trees were in bad shape with YEARS of growth and neglect, many hanging over my, my neighbors homes, power lines and street area. Robert mentioned that he does his work climbing and with ropes. It was amazing to watch, my neighbors enjoyed the free entertainment during the project. It was very obvious that Robert enjoyed his work. Was able to perform the service like a master surgeon, taking down each branch, limb, and trunk with the greatest of care and skill. Robert was my highest bidder for the job, however it was his professionalism that sold the job. He really cares for each tree, it's health and growth. Robert provided the necessary documents to assure me that he was able to handle the job in a safe and responsible manner. With good communication we were able to meet the needs of removing and providing some of the wood for personal use. My only concern is some of the larger trunk pieces will be brought down to manageable size . It was a pleasure to have Robert do this work. I will recommend him for any of your tree care. "I hired Kameron and his team to cut down and remove a huge cottonwood tree that was located on side of a steep hill behind my house. This was no ordinary tree removal job. Several other tree cutting services would not give me a quote because of the difficulty of the tree removal. I cannot say enough good things about their work ethic and focus on safety. Kameron and his crew were very professional and extremely hard working. If you want it done right at a reasonable price Colorado Cut Tree Services does outstanding work! I highly recommend them!"

"Luke was amazing. He gave us a quick quote that was reasonable. He started and worked when he said he would. He kept us updated and sent pictures afterward. The quality of his work was excellent. I was so pleased with his work. He went above and beyond by doing a couple extra things for us as we were out of state. I would and will recommend him to anyone looking for a professional quality painter!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You may wonder whether tree removal is tax deductible: Tree removal is not tax-deductible for homeowners unless it's related to a federally declared disaster. In that case, the cost may qualify as a casualty loss. However, if you own a commercial property, like a rental home, tree removal could be deductible if it's necessary for safety, maintenance, or part of a larger capital improvement project, and you must hire a professional tree removal service and keep documentation. Always consult a tax professional beforehand to see if you qualify.

The shepherd’s tree, native to the Kalahari Desert in Africa, holds the record for the deepest known tree roots at over 230 feet deep. Some African communities refer to it as the “Tree of Life” since it provides food, shade, and medicinal properties to the surrounding community.

Tree trimming can count as landscaping, depending on how a landscaping business describes its services. Professional tree trimmers are more specialized than landscapers and offer trimming services separately from general landscaping.

When general landscaping companies offer tree trimming, look up the details. They usually mean shaping or seasonal trimming of ornamental trees, which is different from trimming larger trees for health or safety reasons. When possible, look for a licensed expert that specializes in trees and tree health.

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.
