"We actually did a lot of research on the installation of artificial turf, and had a few estimates. We decided on Chaz, owner of Rocky Mountain Turf and Greens LLC. because of the time he took to go over everything, show us past jobs, and the options he gave us. We actually had them come out twice because they did such a great job the first time, we had them do another section. We tried for ten years to get grass to grow and couldn't get it done, we didn't want our lawn to look like a putting green and they managed to accommodate our wishes. They actually did a lot more than all the videos we watched on "how to install artificial turf". We've had issues with hiring local companies where we live to do other projects, but they showed up on time, not high or drunk, and were very respectful of our property and us. I would highly recommend them to any one who wants to install artificial turf, and want it done correctly the first time. I do have to say that anyone who has seen the work they've done is highly impressed and actually can't believe it's artificial turf and the attention to detail they used as it isn't a "square" yard, it is bow shaped and has several trees and plants in the center, and it is surrounded by rocks. I have recommended them to other people and they've ended up using them and are extremely happy with the results. Also, I know there have been people posting bad crap about using "artificial" turf and how bad it is for the environment and I just want to say that I notice not a single one of you are giving up your smart phones, your computers, your t.v.'s or cars and living in caves wearing animal skins and eating wild animals you've caught with your bare hands.... so shut up and get a life, and I would much rather have the water I would use trying to keep my lawn looking like a city park to go to farmers and ranchers, you know the people that give us food to live on!!!!"

"Austin with Bulldog Built LLC was incredibly helpful when our heater stopped working. Even though this wasn?t a typical construction project, he quickly connected us with a reliable plumber who was able to diagnose and fix the issue. He took the time to make sure we were taken care of and didn?t leave us scrambling to find help on our own. His responsiveness, knowledge, and willingness to assist even outside the scope of his usual work. It meant a lot to our family. We would absolutely recommend Bulldog Built LLC to anyone looking for an honest, helpful, and professional contractor."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, palm tree stumps are one of the most difficult types to remove due to how their roots grow. Unlike other trees, palm tree roots grow horizontally and vertically. Palm tree roots grow as deep as three feet into the ground, although soil and growing conditions could mean they go as far as 50 inches into the earth.

If you want to be able to repurpose the grass in the area where you removed a stump later, you’ll have to dig quite deep—and perhaps wide—to trim away all the roots.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Your local government is usually in charge of pruning trees on public property, and the power company is responsible for trees near power lines (even if they’re on your property). Whether or not they top these trees depends on their approach to pruning. You won’t be able to do much to control this, but you can contact them to find out more about their pruning process.

Generally, no, tree topping isn’t a good technique, and you should avoid using it in most cases. Tree topping may be the only good option to save a tree following severe damage after a storm, but in most other cases, it’s not the right choice. Tree topping can leave trees vulnerable to disease and further damage, and most pros will suggest against it.

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).
