Variety of experience. I have flipped and built houses in the past so am handyman qualified. I have worked for real estate agents and rental managers. I also tow/haul and perform repairs on RV's. Although not "RV association" certified, I am definitely qualified on furnaces, water heaters, electrical and mechanical systems.

Hi, my name is Kevin. I have been in business on my own since 2016. I used to live on Maui in Hawaii and just recently moved my family to Grand Junction and looking to get my business up and running in the area. Home remodeling is my specialty but have worked on projects from new builds to million dollar pergolas. I have an eye for detail and creativity to make the most out of a space. I am insured and bonded and for the larger projects have a General Contractor to work with! I only use licensed subs to guarantee you receive the best quality for what you pay for. I promise to show up on time and be in communication about the project in hand!

"It went very good. Showed up on time, kept the job clean, very likeable. Honest, professional service."

"David was very professional, courteous, and clear about the cost of the project. He always kept me updated as he progressed. He was always punctual, and it wasn't unusual for him to work back-to-back ten-hour days."

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

Whether or not you’re moving the hookups or simply replacing your current units, you should hire a qualified appliance pro to install your new washer and dryer.

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.

Aside from a professional light installation company, there are a few other pros who may be able to help you hang Christmas lights. Along with specialty holiday decorators, a handyperson near you can also hang Christmas lights (and can fix that pesky drippy sink while they’re at it). Either way, not all of these pros will offer the service, so be sure to call ahead and get multiple quotes before you hire.

Most contractors do not charge for meetings, but it can depend on the project, mainly if it includes detailed consultations or project planning. For general estimates, homeowners shouldn't expect to be charged. Always ask up front about meeting fees to avoid surprises and ensure you know what’s included in the process.

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.
