"Jade floors are the best. Jodi and Wade are amazing- super friendly, knowledgeable about all flooring needs and responsive. If you need flooring they are your people. Everything from the flooring estimate schedule with Jodi to the estimate with Wade and the install went so smooth. I was highly impressed for the second time and will go to no other flooring place. "We had a shower floor that needed to be re-grouted with an outdated green grout color. They tried to find the color and finally had to mix it themselves. They did an awesome job and it turned out great. They are friendly, professional, fair and honest. Would certainly recommend them!! So happy we went with this Angi professional."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

Sometimes, professional floor cleaning isn't enough to remove all the set-in grime and odors that have accumulated over the years. In other instances, your flooring might be nearing the end of its lifespan after more than a decade. If that's the case, it might be time to replace your flooring and start fresh.

The cost to install flooring ranges from $1,500 to $4,460 for a 500-square-foot room. The overall price you pay depends on the size of your room and the flooring type you choose.

Most people realize it is time to replace the padding when the carpet loses springiness or feels thin and unsupportive. Other telltale signs are lumps or dips in the carpet that could look unattractive or cause tripping hazards. Similarly, if your carpet is making a crinkly sound or starting to wear out prematurely, you might need to replace your padding.

It’s possible to reuse household materials to cover floors, but they won’t provide the same level of protection as dedicated materials. They’re also more difficult to tape down and more prone to slipping and bunching up—and any dirt or debris on them could scratch or stain your floors. That being said, extra materials like these can be useful for protecting the sides of furniture and placing in areas that could use added protection.

There are many benefits to hiring a professional floor cleaner. First, these flooring pros know the right chemicals for your flooring type, which is essential for its longevity. Likewise, they have the proper deep-cleaning equipment, which is often more complex than a mop or broom. Not only that, but deep cleaning your floors can be a time-consuming process, and by hiring a professional, you can spend that time on other home improvement projects.
