Turf Master Sod Farm is a family owned and operated Sod production business with locations in Colorado and Wyoming. We take pride in offering you a wide variety of Low water use specialty grasses as well as bluegrass and fescues. Turf Master is especially proud of the custom blends we’ve created to thrive in our harsh, arid climate. We are honored to have served both residential and commercial clients in Colorado, Wyoming, western Nebraska, eastern Utah, southern Montana and the Dakotas for over 40 years and look forward to continuing to serve our community by providing high quality, environmentally friendly sod for generations to come. Wyoming Location: 324 Ayers Rd. Wheatland, WY 82201; (866) 493-8311

"The services, from the sales rep Frank, (who cussed in front of my 3 year old, failed to respond to messages and walked off the job), to the unresponsive management and unreturned phone calls after an incomplete job leaves us without thousands of dollars and a horrible looking lawn. They did not finish the job nor offer to remediate, only stating we were “confrontational” after asking what they would do to fix the problems. Even if that was true (which it is not), the job we paid for is still not completed, confrontations or not, and that is what we paid for. New sod, not their opinions on how we handles our unhappiness with their lack of professionalism. They left an unfinished job with 100% of our money up front. They even broke our fence! Take it from us, do not do business with anyone who asks for all up front if the job isn’t complete. Sod was left out in sun on a pallet in 100 degree heat for 5+ hours dying before it was started to be installed, the ground was not properly prepped, and weeds and grass are now growing from underneath the new sod laid. They laid the sod in the wrong places. They left a mess, were unprofessional, disrespectful, and sadly did not operate in a Christian manner. We are having another local landscaper have to fix the problems, and they are shocked at the way our lawn was left by this company. Save your money and do business elsewhere. I guess turf masters does not care to help their customers. BBB will hear from us, as will Secretary of State and beyond. We are just shocked this is the way they operate."

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

The largest issue with xeriscaping is the up front cost and the amount of work required to amend your old lawn. Xeriscaping costs $3,000 to $24,000 on average, but the long-term payoff, both financially and environmentally, includes saving water, time, and money on lawn maintenance.

Yes, an excavation company is the best option for land grading and yard leveling. General landscapers might be able to tackle these projects, but an excavation company will do a better job because they’re used to operating the necessary heavy machinery. Landscapers might opt to do the work manually, which takes much longer and could cost you more in labor fees. Finally, excavation companies will understand local regulations and know when you need permits to legalize the work, while a landscaper might not.

Professionals who complete perc tests can usually do them in a single day. Including excavating to expose the test site, filling the hole with water, and monitoring it while it drains, you can expect the test to take between four and eight hours total. It’s possible that you’ll get the results the same day, but some companies may take a few days to get official results.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

Professional equipment adapts to different terrains, ensuring thorough aeration across all lawn areas.
