"They are really good and I’d recommend them. I’m gonna get back with them because they do chimney cleaning on fireplace. He was courteous, knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. It took them about an hour and a half to do the whole house of 1750 Square feet. He got here about 10 minutes early. I’m gonna call them back next year to clean my air ducts. My first impression of them was good."

"Brennyn knows his craft well, is thorough, charges a fair price, and has excellent customer service! He cleans and inspects our fireplace annually, and checked the dryer vent, as well. Highly recommended!"

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

A quality pellet stove that receives proper maintenance can last between 15 and 20 years, while most will last at least 10 years. The exact lifespan depends on factors like frequency of use and how well the stove is cared for. Proper maintenance—such as periodically cleaning the vents, vacuuming the ash pan, and refreshing the pellets as needed—can significantly extend its life, making it a worthwhile long-term investment.

Yes, you can operate an electric fireplace (and other types of fireplaces) without the remote. If you’ve misplaced the remote or are waiting for the replacement to arrive, you can still control the fireplace at the access panel. You can find the access panel near the firebox, typically located at the bottom or top of this section.

You should use an angled brush to first paint the mortar lines, then go in with a high-density roller to evenly paint the bricks one at a time. You can also use a flat paintbrush to paint individual bricks, but a roller is faster and easier to use thanks to its longer handle and wider surface area for coating the bricks. To finish, go in with the paint brush for edges or hard-to-reach areas.

You can burn wood with oak wilt, as heat from the fire destroys the fungus, and smoke won’t threaten healthy trees. However, wood of unknown origin should be burned during the dormant season—do not store wood in the warmer months for the winter season. If you harvest oak, let it dry in the sun before transporting it elsewhere.

You can find replacement stove parts for popular brands at local hardware stores or major retailers. However, you might find the best deal by directly buying online from the manufacturer. While there are some universal parts, the manufacturer can also help you find parts that are specific to your stove’s make and model.
