"Got the job done efficiently, for a great price. Was prompt on scheduling and communication, and the job was done in a clean organized manner. We had some coax wiring hidden and installed and a TV mounted, would definitely hire again!"

"Focal Point is the best general contractor we have ever found. Trevor, Brett and Joe all do impeccable work. We have used them for multiple projects since finding them in 2022 from painting, tile backsplashes, carpentry, fencing, landscaping and remodeling (including installing double French doors for a study that was a single door before). We are planning on finishing our basement in the near future and Focal Point will be doing the job hands down!"

"Jim was on time, professional, and friendly. I had a long list of items to install or fix, and completed the whole list very efficiently. He also answered all my questions and gave me good advice. I appreciate that he charged me time and materials instead of a "cost per item," because he worked quickly and I was able to add other tasks that weren't on the list. I've already hired him to do more work. Thanks!"

"Hired a professional to install 2 hand rails for my parents. One was installed on the front porch brick steps and one on the back porch brick steps. They arrived on time, installed both handrails quickly and safely. Handrails are sturdy, and now my parents lives are that much safer. Would recommend."

"Need some work done for a bathroom remodel and Csm did a fantastic job. Not only was he reasonably priced, but it also got the job done quicker than anticipated. I look forward to having him do more future projects. Thanks Cam"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

No material is genuinely fireproof, so there’s no genuinely fireproof safe. Any material would break down if exposed to a hot enough temperature for long enough. That said, safes can withstand certain house fires. Manufacturers use the term “fireproof” synonymously with “fire resistant.”

Ensure proper ventilation, fix leaks, and schedule regular pest inspections to protect your property.

In most cases, having a fire hydrant installed on your property, whether it’s maintained by you personally or your municipality, will reduce your insurance premiums. Its proximity to any buildings on the property will reduce the time it takes to put out a fire, thus reducing the resulting damage.

Yes, a faulty or broken light switch can be a serious fire hazard. Malfunctioning switches, often due to loose connections, exposed wiring, or overheating, can cause sparking or arcing. If you hear a crackling, popping, or hissing sound when you use the switch, it indicates live electricity arcing inside, which is a significant hazard that can ignite nearby flammable materials. If you suspect your light switch is faulty, turn off the power to that circuit at the breaker and contact a qualified electrician to remedy the issue.

When a carbon monoxide alarm goes off, you should always take it seriously. Infrequent and occasional chirps often point to a low battery, a faulty device, or dust buildup (this usually affects smoke detectors and not standalone CO detectors). A continuous alarm signals an emergency, and you should immediately evacuate and call 911. When it comes to carbon monoxide in your home, it’s better safe than sorry.
