"Joe's Masonry refurbished my front flagstone patio. He put a lot of care and attention into the finished work and took the time to make sure it was done correctly. My new patio turned out great and is really beautiful. There was great customer service and communication during the project. I would strongly recommend using Joe's Masonry."

"Maria was very responsive during our initial conversation and our estimate walkthrough. She listened carefully and was very understanding about the level of detail I wanted for our residential post-construction cleaning. Her pricing was extremely fair, and the job was worth every penny! I was encouraged to check things out before Maria and her crew left on cleaning day, and when I asked about one item in the bathroom, Maria herself was more than willing to take additional time and effort to make it look better than it has in years. :) I will absolutely be contacting Polar Masonry after our next construction project!! "We would like to recommend a fantastic brick masonry installer. His name is Armando Juarez. He is the owner of Armando Stone Works. Armando can be reached at 720-310-6230. He removed the old bricks, installed the new bricks. He was very neat cleaning up after he was done. He was here 3 days and was on time. "Excellent concrete work, but they left black marks on the concrete next to where they worked and large black tire marks on my driveway. When I made Tony aware of the problem, he told me I could hose the marks off which didn t work. While their workmanship on the concrete work was impeccable, they left me with a problem to try and solve myself with little luck so far!"

"We have a 120 year-old brick home that needed tuck point work where some of the original mortar was crumbling. Masterful Masonry was professional and prompt with good communication. Quality of the work was excellent, and I am happy with the price. I would hire them again."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

You should use cement for a chimney crown. The purpose of the chimney crown is to protect the mortar below from water damage and the effects of weather. For this reason, chimney crowns should only be made using cement. When repairing a crown, use caulks and sealants designed for cement repair rather than mortar repair.

Yes! Hot glue is an excellent—and temporary—way to spread holiday cheer with Christmas lights without damaging your brick exterior.

Real stone is exactly what it sounds like: It’s real stone sourced from the earth without additives. It is durable and unique, but it’s difficult to work with because of its weight, challenge in sourcing, and high cost. Stone veneer mimics the look of real stone but is actually engineered with a mixture of Portland cement, natural minerals, and a colorant. While it’s more affordable and easier to work with, it’s less durable and may appear manufactured to the trained eye.

Yes, limewash on brick can accumulate dust over time. Its porous nature can attract dust particles, especially in environments with high levels of dust or dirt. Additionally, if the limewash surface is left unsealed, it may be more prone to collecting dust. Additionally, incorrectly applied limewash will generate dust. Causes include applying it too thickly instead of thin layers and not allowing enough drying time between layers. Regular maintenance, such as gentle cleaning or dusting, can help mitigate dusty issues.

No, using a power sander on brick is not recommended because the force of the sander can destroy brick's fragile outer layer. Even using sandpaper on brick is discouraged because of the damage its abrasiveness can cause.
