"I had encountered 3 providers who gave me a hard sell about
doing a full tree shaping for this large Silver Maple. I declined the others and finally ran across Mike who was able to see
it through on my budget. The tree looks wonderful, and I will call him again. He was prompt and cleaned up the site perfectly."

"Ari was fantastic. He was informative, personable and professional. I needed to get a tree down within a certain timeline and he made that happen and then cleaned up the space. If I ever need this service again I will definitely be using Ari. Thank you!!"

Customers say: Terrific value

"K2 Tree did a great job removing Aspens from backyard. Clean up was exceptional. Price was fair. But we noticed a sprinkler hose had been cut when we tried to start up sprinkler system. So we called Mr. Springer, not knowing if he'd repair hose or not, but thankfully, he sent out someone right away, and they repaired hose. You can't beat that kind of service, and if we have more trees to remove, we will definitely call K2 Tree Service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Peach trees grow to be about 25 feet, so keep this in mind for pruning as well. If you plan to DIY, you’ll need to be comfortable working on a ladder. Without pruning, peach tree branches can sprawl nearly as wide as the tree grows tall, so make sure to plan pruning sessions at least once per year in the spring for controlled growth. And if you’re working on a ladder, be sure to follow all safety precautions, especially if you’ll be dealing with falling branches.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.
