"The work was done beautifully. It took longer than expected because they had to install new insulation and plywood to this older home before they could do the siding, but they were more than capable of doing that. Sometimes the whole crew was not there on certain days, but Andre and John continued the hard work."

"When our hardwood floor was water damaged, the insurance co. wanted us to refinish the entire kitchen and dining area. Clancey was totally open to other ideas. He replaced the damaged area with a beautiful inlay of black walnut and hickory. It surpassed my wildest expectations and we could not be happier. they were fast, professional, and so easy to work with. We, without hesitation, highly recommend him."

"Great work! Weâ re extremely pleased with our bathroom remodel! And we couldnâ t have asked for a more pleasing experience. The whole team was wonderful. Work was prompt and highly skilled. Communication was just the right amount. From start to finish, they were polite, sincere, professional, warm, and helpful. They were respectful and accommodating of our needs, design sense, home space, budget, and timeline. What could be better than a beautiful remodel, with great customer care through the entire experience! 100% recommend!"

"Usually when I hire contractors, it's been when I have a very reasonable timeline. For this project, I had to find someone remodel my parents bathroom due to my father's illness to accommodate his recovery and do it well but on a rather urgent timeline. I met with multiple contractors but I selected HomeLogic because when I met with Jay, he immediately had very detailed ideas to fill in where I needed suggestions and he provided a full detailed bid within 24 hours and met my budget. He responded quickly to my questions and items I needed adjusted in the original proposal. And the work met our timeline and the quality was excellent. I wish every contractor was as easy to work with."

Balcony construction or replacement typically requires a building permit from your local permitting authority. Safety and building integrity are the main reasons for the need to obtain a permit and the subsequent inspections. In some cases, especially cantilevered balconies, your municipality may also require the oversight and signature of a structural engineer.

Yes, professional installations include reinforced corner posts to ensure durability.

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.

Using a steel frame may raise the value of your home. Steel is more heat resistant, has better longevity, and doesn’t need any upkeep compared to traditional wood. You can also customize a steel build a little easier than other materials like brick, concrete, and vinyl—which have trouble bending and adapting to renovations.

Most of the time, you’ll want to use screws on your subfloor rather than nails. Nails can actually weaken plywood, whereas screws can easily penetrate without damage. They also form a more secure connection because of their shape, preventing squeaky floors and tightly holding the subfloor in place. That said, some contractors do prefer nails depending on the type of floor covering because they allow for more flexibility.
