"It was very easy to work with D&D Air Duct Pros. They were very responsive and made scheduling easy. They showed up on time, were very friendly, and did a great job. They provided before and after pics of our ducts and went above and beyond to make sure they were as clean as possible! I would definitely recommend this pro."

"I contacted All Trades Mechanical to install a new evaporative cooler. Terry came out to my house and gave me a quote that was very much in line with other companies, however he also offered to remove the old cooler and install new water lines, something the others did not, even after I asked. There was absolutely no pressure involved with the quote. His team was on time and began working immediately. They were highly professional and cared about the quality of their work. After working all day in high temps they still cleaned up afterward and ensured everything worked and I knew how to operate the new equipment. I highly recommend them"

"Nicholas and Joshua reminded me why I stick with this company. They were personable, kind, professional young men who knew exactly how to deal with several types of plumbing issues. They found a way to repair two problems I was sure were going to require new fixtures. They also found ways to save me money. Very grateful."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

It is possible to add air conditioning to an older home, but it can be very expensive to do so. Expect to pay anywhere from $6,000 to $17,000 or more for the ductwork and AC unit. You’ll also have to hack into the home’s walls and ceilings to add ductwork, which can impact the aesthetics of an old home.

If your HVAC system's capacity doesn't match the required CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), imbalances can occur. An undersized system struggles to maintain desired temperatures, leading to discomfort. An oversized system might short-cycle, wasting energy and causing temperature fluctuations. Properly matching capacity to CFM ensures efficient and consistent heating, cooling, and home ventilation system performance.

When an evaporator coil becomes faulty, it can result in various problems within your HVAC system. These problems could include reduced cooling or heating capabilities due to ice formation and obstructed airflow, along with increased energy consumption and higher bills. Additionally, a damaged coil may lead to refrigerant leaks, which are environmentally harmful and decrease overall system efficiency.

Ultimately, if not addressed right away, a bad evaporator coil can even lead to a complete failure of your HVAC system. That’s why timely repair or replacement is crucial to maintaining your family’s comfort and your HVAC’s efficiency.

Though it may seem redundant, you can absolutely have a central AC unit and a window AC in your home. In fact, if you place a window AC unit near your central air, it can help move the cooler air throughout your home. But doubling up on your AC methods can get pricey, so factor in cost accordingly.

Yes, you can potentially save $60 to $200 by handling your own air conditioner capacitor installation. However, capacitor replacement comes with the risk of electric shock. Only attempt this if you have the knowledge and protective gear to carry it out safely. Otherwise, we recommend hiring an HVAC pro with the experience to properly diagnose the issue and avoid damaging other parts of your AC unit.
