"JP was amazing, A true professional in every way. We discussed the project in person prior to deciding to use him. He was on time, did what he said he would do and cleaned up everything beyond what was expected. JP is a true drywall artist and as picky as I am would not hesitate to recommend him and use him again!"

Small jobs welcome

"I couldn’t be happier with H. L. Drywall. They were hired to repair my guest room that had a flood. They reinstalled insulation, hung drywall, textured the wall, install baseboards and paint. The room looks better than it was before the flood. The crew were quiet, hardworking and very polite. Hopefully I won’t need to hire them again, but if I do, I would happily bring them in and I would highly recommend them. Reasonably priced"

"Fine - not great. The drywall itself was fine but the texture finish was below average/sloppy. There were four dudes hanging out for most of the time for a max two man job. They cleaned their tools using my window-washing specialty bucket without asking and left it covered in plaster."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

Plaster that sags or bulges, shows extensive deep cracks, or is crumbling from water damage or simply time may need replacement. Plaster walls can look a little “worn” for a long time before they need replacing. The only real way to know if it needs a replacement is to hire a professional to assess the condition of the plaster.

Like many other repair projects, the cost to fix a behind-the-wall shower leak depends on several factors. The cost of your repair may depend on the type of leak (from a clog or burst pipe), type of piping, and location of the leak. The extent of the issue and how difficult it is to access the pipes can greatly impact and increase your price. On average, you can expect to pay around $150 to $600 to repair a leaking shower.

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.

Damp plaster does dry out, although the drying time depends on several factors, including the type of plaster, the surrounding temperature, moisture content, and the extent of the dampness. Sometimes, it can take weeks or months for wall plaster to dry naturally.

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.
