"After my Father's unexpected passing, my Mom has been left with all the house duties that her used to take care of for her. I decided to find a service to help for the winter with snow removal and I couldn't be happier with these guys. Every time it snows they come out to clear the snow automatically and they do a great job. I plan to have them help this summer with lawn mowing also."

They provided a quote that was 20% less expensive than our previous 3 quotes from companies in the Denver Metro area.

The day before the scheduled appointment Manuel called to confirm our appointment and asked if we had any questions. They arrived at 8 am and completed the majority of the project by 9pm that evening. They had 6 men diligently working the entire day. We were surprised that they nearly completed the entire job in one day! The following day they came and washed the concrete and confirmed that we were happy with the job they had done. We have made plans to use them for additional concrete work we are planning on completing this summer.

"I needed a handyman to repair some loose vinyl siding. Mike and his brother found mold behind the siding,. They found matching siding, removed and replaced everything that was moldy. Mike and I inspected all the remaining siding and Mike found and repaired other problems the roofers had missed. They are not afraid of hard work. I highly recommend Highrise gutter if you need a handyman for exterior home work."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Be careful when choosing a product to help you remove ice from your wood deck. Never use sand, gravel, or salt, since these items can damage and scratch the wood. Instead, look for chemical de-icers that are marked as safe for wood decks or use hot water to melt snow and ice.

While DIY is possible for small areas, professional services provide fast, efficient removal for large properties or heavy snowfall.

A common mistake is you can let snow melt naturally in a window well. However, snow buildup in the well can damage your window frames and walls. The melting snow also poses risks of water damage as it may leak through into the basement. It’s important to shovel snow out of your window wells before too much snow is piled in there.

Both rock salt and ice melt are naturally occurring salts. Rock salt is sodium chloride, which is the same as table salt. Ice melt products can be made from a combination of salts like magnesium chloride and calcium chloride or can be those salts alone.

Rock salt comes in large crystals, so it helps provide traction on icy surfaces, whereas ice melt products need to be mixed with sand to provide traction. Ice melt products work at lower temperatures than rock salt, so they might be a better choice if you have a harsh winter climate.

It’s possible to use a torch to melt ice on your garage door, but we don’t recommend it. It’s very easy to bring the flame too close to the door, which can melt the weather stripping or even the garage door itself. You’ll melt ice quickly with a torch, but the damage you’re likely to cause can end up costing you a few hundred dollars to fix, which isn’t worth it. Instead, we recommend pouring hot water over the frozen area or using a less intense heat source, like a hair dryer or space heater.
