"Corey did an absolutely magnificent job on the stairs, railing and trim in the garage. Actually, the stairs are overbuilt for the purpose. Both Regina and Corey had excellent communication and were very personable, listened well to needs and followed all instructions. Although the project was quite costly, the results couldn't have been better. Would heartily recommend this company."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

Take a picture of your house to easily replicate the same design for next year and keep the clips and accessories. When storing your lights, wrap them around cardboard so they don’t get tangled. Purchase a ladderless extension pole kit to hang your lights (around $30 to $50) for hard to reach areas.

It’s not a good idea to mix LED and incandescent Christmas lights if you can avoid it. LEDs and incandescents can have significantly different electrical current needs. This difference can lead to a higher risk of problems and failure for both light strands. When possible, switch all your lights over to one kind or the other for the best results. Do not connect the different types of light strings to each other, and avoid linking them to the same circuit.

Yes, you can hang Christmas lights from the soffit of your roof, but it requires a bit more effort than hanging from the gutters or eaves. You’ll need to add an adhesive hook or tie to the underside of the soffit to keep the lights in place. Consider adding a soffit hook every 12 to 18 inches for best visual results.

Yes, many services include removal as part of the package. Confirm with your provider.

Using a staple gun to hang Christmas lights on your roof or shingles is not recommended. Puncturing your roof with staples can cause damage, leading to cracks, leaks, and exposure to the elements. Staples are also less reliable than other methods like roof clips. For a safer alternative that won't damage your roof, use shingle tabs.
