Thanh Vo, the inspector was very professional, thorough, and efficient. He took the time to explain every part of the mold and mildew inspection process and testing both inside and outside the house. The lab reports came back quickly, were easy to interpret and gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend Axium Inspections.

Appointment time was for arrival of professional between 8am-11am. The professional arrived at 11:05am without any notification during the 3 hour window of ACTUAL arrival time. Some advance notification or an update prior to arrival time would have been MUCH appreciated.

They did a great job at the lowest price, but now I'm being barraged with emails asking me to pay for my test, which I've already done (i gave the check to the driver as was originally requested) and asking me to get my test results, which I've already gotten. But for some reason they keep on harassing me with emails. This also seemed to be the case when I called customer service. The right hand didn't seem to know what the left hand is doing.

I chose to buy a home inspection from Axium after reading positive reviews so I feel like it is my responsibility to also offer a review for folks to take into consideration. In short, I am incredibly dissatisfied with the $1000 inspection I purchased and feel like my money would have been way better spent with another company. Instead, I spent money on an unexpected repair that I did not get the opportunity to ask the seller to fix. When I closed on my home, three weeks after the inspection, I walked into a huge sewer leak in the crawl space. Thankfully I had someone installing something in my crawl space or I would have missed it entirely, and who knows how long it would have taken to discover on my own and how many feet of water would have flooded my crawl space. Point being that I am not the one who should be discovering that issue. My home was unoccupied between the inspection and closing and my plumber found a pipe with two large holes from which water was pouring out of like a faucet when I turned on the kitchen sink. Axium says that the leak was not in the inspection report and it therefore must not have existed while they were there. Their stance is that the holes sprung up in the three weeks between the inspection and closing. Yes, the pipes are older, but that does not mean they develop gaping holes suddenly. Old pipes can and do last a very long time. I think that would take a pretty large stretch of the imagination to believe that the pipe spring two large holes, and my plumber had a hard time believing that that was the case. I think it is more likely that it was missed, that the inspector did not walk to the far corner of the crawl space where this was located. I think it was not seen because it was not inspected. The holes are big enough to fit a finger through and quite visible to the naked eye. Had Axium caught this issue I could have asked the seller to fix it or at the very least fixed it before I moved in, rather than having to live without plumbing for two weeks. I expressed my displeasure to Axium when I discovered the leak/water and they refunded me $250 (though that was technically for something else â I got a sewer scope from Axium but ended up having to get it cleaned and re-done by another company since it had some normal root blockage that is expected with clay pipes. I was not happy that I had to buy the same thing twice. My advice to others is just to get that part of the inspection on your own to begin with). I asked for a full refund when my plumber showed me the video of the water fountain in my crawl space and I did not receive it even though I was told on the phone that a missed active leak would merit a full refund (this apparently did not qualify so I do not know what would meet those qualifications). Instead people at the company repeatedly tried to pass the buck and explain to me how pipes work (funnily enough they were explaining it incorrectly and I hate to think that they were talking to me that way because I am a young woman). Anyway, I am sure the excuses from the company will follow in response to this, but if you are like me, hope to pay for the really expensive full inspection and avoid walking into a sewer leak on closing day then perhaps you will heed my warning. If not, then at least I am doing my part in reviewing my experience so others can have the information they need to make the best decision for themselves. For me, this was not it.
