• My company's typical window & door replacement projects are for clients with existing older homes. Often there are no architectural plans for the houses, so Mr. Medeiros obtains microfilm records, does site visits in which the measurements of the houses are taken, together with extensive photographs. A significant amount of interaction is required between us as the client and the architectural firm to lay out the locations and detailed specifications of the windows & doors, which have complicated certifications documents. Compliance with the certifications must be verified for each and every window opening and Mr. Medeiros patiently attends to all these details in preparing the architectural plans. Once the architectural plans are ready for submittal, Mr. Medeiros personally navigates the plans through the complicated process of attendance at the required Board of Architects meeting (where the plans must be approved prior to submittal to the building department) and then through the various divisions of the building department.  Of the fifteen or so projects that Medeirors Architectural Group has worked on for my company, only one had to be re-submitted for further review, however it was not the Architect's fault, but due to the design opinion of one of the architects on the Board for the City of Coral Gables. Furthermore, Mr. Medeiros follows up with me on each and every project he works on to see how the project went  through completion. In all, I would have to say that I am very pleased with the services of Medeiros Architectural Group and I highly recommend Charles Medeiros.

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."
