"Rodi and his team did a great job getting our new home ready for our move to Evergreen. They remodeled our master bathroom (new shower, radiant floor heat and new tile flooring). New manufactured wood floor downstairs. Complete interior paint. We are very happy with all the work and are planning kitchen remodel, as well as expanding our deck and replacing exterior sliding door. You will not be disappointed with the "My Guy Remodels" Team!"

"Don was very prompt and had the request taken care of the same day as requested. I would do business with Don again in the future should the need arise. Don said that he would be available for further assistance if we need it as we move forward with our project. Very reasonably priced."

"I had a very pleasant experience with Rudy and his crew. They installed a fairly large wooden fence on my property, re-stained my 2000 square foot garage, installed some gutters and snow bars on my roof and did some deck repair. Everything was done with extreme care, attention to detail and professionalism. The quality was superb and Rudy was very communicative throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Vargas Home Improvement for anything you might need done in the way of remodeling and/or general home improvement."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Completing a full standard bathroom remodel offers the best value, with an average return on investment (ROI) of 70%. However, you don't need a full remodel to make an impact. To maximize value, focus on key components like flooring, the tub and shower, vanity, and cabinets. High-value upgrades include installing a walk-in shower, resurfacing a tub, retiling, or expanding the shower. For more budget-friendly options that still increase value, consider repainting with a light, neutral color, or updating the mirror and light fixtures. It's also crucial to address any necessary repairs, such as leaks, mold, or cracked tiles, as buyers will notice these issues. Avoid flashy upgrades like bathtub jets or steam showers, which don't add as much value.

In short, it depends. When it comes to accessibility, a roll-in shower is easier to enter than a walk-in bathtub because it doesn’t have the extra step required to access the bathing area. On the downside, walk-in showers can be less safe for seniors who struggle with standing or balancing. Parents of young children may also prefer walk-in bathtubs for their ease of bathing children who don’t yet know how to clean themselves.

The typical mobile home renovation costs around $20,000, with a normal range of $10,000 to $20,000 for a single-wide and $15,000 to $30,000 for a double-wide. Your total will depend on a bunch of factors, including the quality of materials you use (for things like the cost of new mobile home flooring and plumbing fixtures), how much your contractor charges, and the size of your mobile home. The extent of the remodel matters as well. If you’re doing a full gut renovation, you can expect to add between $10,000 and $20,000 to your base price.

The cost of making a bathroom accessible can be $3,000 to $25,000, but you could spend as much as $50,000 building a brand-new ADA-compliant bathroom. Some bathroom accessibility upgrades to consider include:

  • Installing grab bars: $100–$500

  • Lowering cabinets and vanities: $1,200–$2,500

  • Installing modified doors: $700–$1,500

  • Installing a modified toilet: $400–$1,000

  • Installing an accessible sink and faucet: $100–$1,000

  • Adding a walk-in tub: $1,100–$17,000

  • Converting a bathtub into a walk-in tub: $350–$1,000

  • Installing a wheelchair-accessible shower: $2,000–$7,500

  • Installing a shower ramp: $16–$300

Traditional style is inspired by designs commonly used in 17th and 18th century Europe. It often uses natural materials and colors, such as wood, copper, navy blue, bronze, and stone, intricate detailing, and heavy, thick fixtures. On the other hand, contemporary design tends to use sleek and angled lines, lighter fixtures, and chic, modern colors like matte black or brushed gold. Transitional design takes elements of both, often using neutral color palates with dark-hued accent pieces, soft lines, and a comfortable but not overly elegant overall feel.
