"We are so appreciative of the work they did! They were very kind and knew exactly what they needed to do to fix and install our closet door and our shower door. They even went the extra mile by showing us how to fix the closet door and how to remove and clean our shower vent. We are so appreciative of their time and will definitely reach out to them in the future when we need work done on our house. Highly recommend!"

"We picked Jason Winslow of Redhawk Mechanical to supply our 4200 square foot home with two 4-ton Ultra-low NOx furnaces with a four ton AC on one. Two days after we signed the contract, the units were installed. All units were Lennox brands from AC Pro. Jason halted the furnace install because he had experienced problems with the AC Evaporator Coil from his distributor. Instead, he waited several hours to obtain a Coil that he found to be 100% reliable in dozens of installs. His team consisted of specialists that worked diligently and took pride in their work. Call Jason at Redhawk Mechanical for quality work at a very reasonable price."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Rats are nocturnal creatures, meaning they are most active at night, typically from late evening through the early morning. They use the cover of darkness to explore, forage for food, and find water, as they feel safer and can avoid daytime predators and human activity. Their sharp senses, including keen night vision and hearing, are well-suited for navigating in the dark. Because they prefer to stay hidden during the day in secluded areas like walls or attics, you are more likely to spot signs of their presence—such as droppings or gnaw marks—before you see an actual rat.

Squirrels tend to forage, traveling along roof and fence lines. To trap a squirrel, placing a baited trap on the roof near the point of entry is the best option. If you can see them going in and out or recognize the damage they might be causing to the exterior of your home, you can also try placing traps near those locations.

Gel bait and gel bait traps use poison to kill cockroaches, and aren’t safe to use around pets. Many gel bait traps are called “child-resistant,” but this only means that the traps are hard to rip open for children. Large pets and children are still able to swallow them. If you use gel bait, use it in areas where pets and children can’t access them, such as under a washing machine. Another option is to use glue traps, which don’t contain pesticides and are safe to use around pets.

If you want to get rid of rats fast and don’t mind the price, we suggest contacting pest control. They have the methods, experience and equipment to handle the job as quickly as possible, along with suggestions on how to make sure rats won’t pose any problem in the future. It’s the most complete response available to homeowners.

When baiting an iguana trap, several items should be avoided. Do not use poisonous baits, such as those intended for rats or mice. This practice is often illegal, is unlikely to attract iguanas, and poses a significant risk to pets or other wildlife. Additionally, avoid using herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are toxic to iguanas, such as fresh sage, rosemary, avocados, and eggplants. While ripe fruit can be an effective bait, be sure to remove any pits or seeds from fruits like apples, pears, and peaches, as they are highly toxic. Finally, steer clear of citrus fruits, which act as a natural deterrent.
