"They did a pretty good job and found some areas that needed attention. The only comment I can make is that they turned on the water for my swimming pool, and now it is flooded and overfilled. Other than that, they cleaned my gutter and left with no mess."

"Their pricing was very competitive, and they did a great job laying in a block retaining wall for me. Created two tiers, graded everything flat, and cleaned area just fine. Very responsive communication by Ernie, and good customer service overall."

"Within the same day of placing a request on Angie's list, I received a call from Eddie. We scheduled a time for him to come out and look at the job. Eddie arrived on time and discussed with us our ideas and our budget. He provided a sketch of the yard layout, offered suggestions for plants and give us a timeframe to complete the work. He felt he could work well within our budget and we made the decision to have Eddie complete the work. We met with him one more time prior to the start of the job to finalize the details and confirm the cost of the job. Eddie and his staff showed up on time each day and completed the work as scheduled . The crew was easy to work with, and Eddie was willing to make tweeks to the job as we made some minor changes. The job was finished on time and under budget. We are thrilled with the outcome and intend to use Eddie again for some additional work. It was a great experience and we truly appreciate he and his crew's hard work."

"On time, protected my floors, did the extra work to make sure the job was completed properly, and cleaned up when they were finished."
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
