We replaced approx 30% of the T-11 siding on my house in Antelope, replaced all the trim affected by dry rot and replaced the windows/slider. As they were sealing the new windows we could already tell the difference in the noise and how warm the sun felt through the glass. Brian was the lead installer for the windows and Ken for the siding project and they extremely knowledgeable and were fine with working around our 3 big dogs who had to go outside for bathroom breaks."
"I've never done any remodeling to my house or had any work other than the occasional plumber or handyman. When I decided to completely makeover my bathroom, I felt a little overwhelmed. At America's Dream HomeWorks, it is a one-stop-shop. They take care of everything! You go to their incredible showroom and browse through flooring, tiles, quartz slabs, faucets, sinks, tubs, color schemes, etc. and pick out exactly what you want. (You can also go online with your consultant and shop for particular items - I found a hand-painted glass bowl sink and matching waterfall faucets.) The wonderful thing about a one-stop-shop remodel is you don't have to worry about anything. ADH ordered all the materials, brought them to my house, demolished my existing bathroom and took the rubble with them, and scheduled inspector visits. Beware of the lure of lower-priced competitors: I guarantee you their quote will not include everything ADH will do. Do you really want to demolish your own bathroom? Do you want to take the chance on ordering a bathtub that doesn't exactly fit or arrives broken? Your responsibility means it's your dime. Let your remodeler take care of it all. It's a breeze. During the remodel, Alex and Vlad were extremely neat and tidy. They protected my narrow hallways and beige carpet - and they never complained about my very steep staircase. Imagine lugging a cast-iron tub down the stairs with just two people! Since I'd never done any remodeling before, I expected the noise to be ear-splitting, but the guys were surprisingly quiet. Sometimes I wouldn't hear any activity and, thinking they were on a lunch break, I'd trot upstairs to take a peek at the progress. There they were, hammering away! Construction from my neighbor's house was louder than my own bathroom. I have had a certain style in mind for several years, and now I have my dream bathroom! Everything looks beautiful and I got exactly what I wanted. ADH was professional and very eager and happy to make my remodel experience easy and fun. Particularly during the 2020 pandemic, ADH handled everything very well. My contract from the pre-pandemic months was honored, there were no hidden fees or late penalties, and everything was in-stock and ready to go when the country opened back up again. Phone calls with Julie over the past months, talking with Alex and Vlad at the house every day, it made it seem like ADH was part of the family. This was not the "typical contractor" experience I was expecting. Everyone gave a little extra oomph to make sure I was in love with my bathroom. Thank you!"

EDIT: FWIW The above review was written while the person giving the estimate was standing there asking me to give her a review. She was nice, but obviously a seasoned salesperson. She did attempt to hard-sell me a few times, and even pulled the "call my manager and get another 10% off" routine mentioned by others here... but again, I wasn't having any of it. Bottom line is that their lowest possible option came to an amount in excess of the "HIGH END" average here (for my area) by nearly two grand... and that was their lowest cost option. Let me be honest here... I live in a CB Homes tract house worth $165K on a good day... I was looking for a bath to shower conversion for mom who's been living with me and having troubles getting in the shower. I can't cough up money I would expect to pay for a full remodel of the bathroom (their high end and original estimate). And unfortunately I can't cough up nearly five digits for shower with glass door ... on the low end. I need a functional shower that looks as good as the original stock CB Homes tub... the bar isn't set too high. These folks are obviously for the higher end custom home. That's fine. I just wish the person on the phone when I called to make the appointment and TOLD HER my situation at least had the information to relay that the lowest my job was going to cost with glass door would be what it was. But whatever. I just felt I needed to correct the record here... especially after reading some of the other reviews. To summarize: The lady who appeared for the appointment was personable... she seemed to know what she w as doing... she also was obviously a sales professional and did employ some tactics to make the sale (not entirely unexpected of course)... and perhaps, if she had the flexibility to sell a lower end "non-custom" type product, we may have bought (but not right then regardless... these folks were the first people to come out and give and estimate and I NEVER buy anything based on a single estimate.)... but their lowest cost product was easily 2x the cost I was expecting going in (albeit admittedly a thoroughly informed expectation) ... I have another estimate that will be done Wednesday. I already spoke to the owner on the phone so as to not waste his time. I relayed some of this information to him in hopes to determine if he has any possible chance of meeting or exceeding the expectations I've developed (partly based on the averages available here on this site) and if it would be a waste of time for him to come by... the appointment is still set."

"Mark Drennan came over to give me an estimate ... I had another guy coming a few days later. The difference was astonishing. Mark went over all the details of the products that I was interested in, he was polite, not pushy and left me with a proper estimate in writing. The other guy came ... was sort of distracted like he was being put out, left saying he would call and made sure he had my email address. I finally called him a couple days later and instead of emailing me a proper estimate, he texted me a bunch of gibberish. When I asked for an estimate he begrudgingly said oh ok, I will copy it to an email which is all he did. It was ridiculous to think I would hire him based off of that.
I called Mark back, he returned and we went over my choices again. He helped me decide which I really appreciated. I ordered Hunter Douglas products as he knew I wanted quality and he assured me I would be happy with that brand. He was very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable taking his recommendations. Everything turned out perfect except the sliding glass door.
The trim was black which I did not expect, and when I called Mark he also had not expected black. He worked with H.D. and got them to re-do them (no charge, in white which was what I had wanted. Every window came out perfectly.
The installation was amazingly efficient. The guys were prompt, neat and fast. They completed every window in record time and there was no mess, no trash left around inside or out. All the windows look great and operate perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from the Blind Guy, especially Mark, the installers and of course Hunter Douglas. "

"I have two experiences with Halls. The first was a replacement of two sliding glass doors. I paid about 5K for two Anderson permashield doors. The installation was excellent and the crew was very professional. I could not have been more pleased. Based upon my first experience, I went with Halls to replace 8 large glass windows in my home. The job was about 11K. Given my initial experience with the company, I did not seek additional bids. That was a big mistake. During the installation, one crew member left early, leaving an installer and a new employee. It was clear during the walk through that several of the windows (Marvin Infinity Replacement Windows) were not straight, and once had a clear draft. A service technician came by (and later one of the company managers) and admitted that the installation was not proper. The service technician was able to fix two windows, and another four needed to removed and reinstalled. Well, I was not present during the reinstall date, but expected a call at the end of the repair for a walk through (I work four miles away). The installers simply left and gave my family member a message that I could call Halls if in had any questions rather than talk to me. Suffice it to day, the windows still don't look right. The first job was an A, the second was an F, which is why I gave the company an overall C grade. "
