Fat Rock Tile & Stone Lic. #1001093 We are a newly licensed company with over 50 years combined field experience. We are fully licensed bonded, and insured with references upon request. Future customers can view some of our work in our website at: www.fatrocktile.com

"Would I recommend: Yes Would I use them again: Yes Pros: -Very responsive and friendly -Price Effective -Honors warranty Cons: -None Hired Danny and his team to conduct install tiling, apply epoxy, and repair hardwood. I thought I had enough tiling to complete the job, but did not. Danny escorted me to the local Home Depot and help me pick out tiling enough for master bath at no additional cost. His team applied epoxy coating to my garage and found a couple cracks and shortly after it started pealing since we applied during told season. Reached out to them months later during summer and honored his warranty to fill cracks and reapply epoxy coating. They are awesome and would highly recommend!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

When choosing whether to install carpet in your home, consider the pros and cons of this change:

Pros

  • More affordable than laminate flooring

  • Gives the room a warmer feel

  • Softer on feet

  • Wide variety of textures and colors

  • Hides dirt easily

  • Faster and easier to install

Cons

  • Shows wear and tear more quickly than laminate flooring

  • Shows stains

  • Soaks up liquids

  • May not work well in some areas, such as a bathroom

  • Less durable than laminate flooring

  • Susceptible to water damage, mold, and mildew

The cost to put wooden flooring in an attic can run a wide range. Carpeting can cost as little as $1 per square foot, or even less if you opt for unfinished flooring types like rubber or painted plywood. On the high end, hardwood floors might cost as much as $45 dollars per square foot. For a previously unused space, you’ll probably need to add a subfloor which usually costs about $5 per square foot.

Costs depend on carpet quality, labor, underlayment, and furniture moving requirements.

Squeaking floors don’t usually pose an immediate safety risk. It can be the result of normal settlement, changes in humidity, or natural wear. Uneven or warped floors do pose a trip risk, so you should call a pro for a repair. This is especially true if you notice visible signs of rot or deterioration. Rarely, a creaking floor can signal structural issues, but there are usually other signs.

Sometimes, it’s best to avoid putting flooring under cabinets or installing the cabinets first. Installing cabinets on top of the flooring can void the flooring warranty. This can be a costly problem, especially if accidental flooring damage occurs during installation. Also, it’s not a good idea to install cabinets over floating floors, such as laminate, that need room to expand and contract. Finally, avoiding installing flooring under kitchen cabinets is a more budget-friendly option as you will use fewer materials.
