Working with Mike was amazing! I had originally tried to hire a handyman through West Elm's partnership with the company called "Porch." I had a Handyman scheduled for four hours on a Saturday morning. They canceled on me the same day as my appointment at 6 AM for a 9 AM job. I found Mike through Angi's and called him. He picked up after the first ring and I told him that I was looking to have someone come and hang 4 floating shelves, install two sets of curtain rods, and then hang up about 20 pictures. Mike said that he would come over and to get a feel for a job and then give me a quote. I called him around 9 AM and we scheduled for 10 AM to look around. Right at 10 AM he was at my condo. He looked at what was needed to be done and told me that he would quote me for each project and to do one at a time. He was able to start the same day! First he put up our hanging shelves. I had a dyslexic moment and accidentally ordered 2 - 37" shelves instead of 2 - 73" shelves. We took the shorter ones and he installed them in my husband's office. With his trusty level, stud finder, measuring tape and painters tape, Mike was able to install our shelves on a stud. He had all of the materials for all of my projects in his handy tool kit. Sadly, when he went to install the 73" shelves, we found out that the walls weren't exactly even! The shelves were slightly too big to fit all the way back. Going above and beyond, Mike went home and brought his personal circular saw! He was able to take about an 1/8th of an inch off and then install the shelves. They look beautiful! Next he installed my curtain rods and curtains. Again with his trusty level, stud finder, measuring tape and painters tape he was able to quickly install my curtains. Mike came back on a second day to install all of my paintings and art. In the end he installed 28 pieces of art! For each piece he meticulously found the stud (if necessary) and measured where each piece should hang correctly. He spent 4 hours but in the end, my house looks amazing. And once again, he had all the tools, nails, screws, etc. that were needed to install all of my art. Mike was so kind, and such a delight to work with. I highly recommend him if you ever need a handyman!
