"My elderly Mother who lives about 30 miles away from me in Atwater Village, discovered a leak from her water heater. She told me that a friend of hers recommended a plumber. Like all Sonâ s I thought oh great, some plumber is going to come out and try and take advantage of her and charge her for unnecessary stuff. Nothing can be further from the truth. She called Giovanni from CHAJON PLUMBING. It was a Friday night (6:30 PM) and he said he would be at her house as soon as possible. Giovanni literally showed up within an hour, thoroughly explained to Her what needed to be fixed, and spoke to me on the phone to explain what the issues were. "I had an under-the-sink leaky old galvanized iron drain pipe that rusted through and made a wet mess under the sink. George tried for the simpler fix first and did not open the wall. That still leaked so he opened the wall and determined that the whole section of pipe was leaking inside the wall too. This was a bigger mess but George removed the fittings etc that he had bought, cut out the bad section of iron pipe and installed a section of ABS drain pipe that won't leak, reconnected the sink drains, tested everything and we were done. He only charged me for the material used in the actual repair. He said he would use the fittings that didn't work out for me on another job. George is efficient and neat - my father in law would have approved of his cleaning up the mess as he worked instead of waiting until he was all done with gunk from the pipes, plaster dust and random crap everywhere. I will definitely call him the next time I need home maintenance help."
