"Mike took the job on short notice. He analyzed the what was involved in my project and gave me an estimate. I accepted the bid and Mike arrived on the job site on time and ready to go to work. Mike is very personalable and communicate well. His work was spot on and I couldn't be more satisfied. He cleaned up after completing the job and advised me on how to care for the cap stone that he installed. I would definitely hire Mike in the future for concrete and masonry work."

"Mike Pelayo and his crew at Forever Green Landscape Construction did a FANTASTIC job on my backyard renovation!!! HIs crew worked in a timely professional manner from the time of first contact, detailed professional estimate, to construction of a paved patio, deck, synthetic turf area for grandchildren and pets, outdoor shower with hot/cold water, installation of natural gas fire pit table and outdoor overhead string lights. This was a secluded area with limited access so it was a real challenge, but Mike and his crew pulled it off without any difficulty. My backyard is wonderful!!!"

"Jeff, Leonard and all the workers are the BEST !! My new yard is my favorite place to hang out. They listened to my dream, took into consideration my budget and gave me what I asked for. They also completed it when they said they would ( that never happens). The workers were nice as well as respectful of my space. They even put up with my naughty dogs when necessary. If I ever decide to do my front yard I will definitely be calling them back."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Do not use super glue to hang lights on brick unless you want your lights up year-round. Hot glue is a better choice because it’s easily removable with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Super glue is very hard to remove, and you could tear off parts of the brick in the removal process.

Yes, you can enlarge windows in a brick house. Your masonry contractor will need to cut away exterior brick to make space for the larger window, and you may also need to consult a structural engineer to make sure the window is properly supported inside the frame of the house.

The cost to install or replace brick or stone siding generally ranges from $10 to $50 per square foot. The final price depends on several factors, including the specific material type, local labor rates, and any necessary preparation work, such as removing old siding. For example, different types of stone have varying costs per square foot: natural stone ($4.50–$35), stone veneer ($11–$13), faux stone ($6–$9), and cultured or manufactured stone ($5–$8).

No, you don’t need to soak the brick before cutting it by hand. In fact, cutting a wet brick can make it harder to see your score lines and may cause the chisel to slip. Soaking is sometimes used with power tools to reduce dust, but for hand-cutting, it’s best to work with dry bricks for better control and visibility.

Yes, as long as the cut is clean and the brick remains structurally sound, you can reuse it. Reusing brick is especially common for landscaping, edging, and small masonry repairs. Just make sure to file down any sharp edges before handling or installing it.
