"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."
"After a while of extensive research in finding for the right contractor or construction company to upgrade our kitchen, we decided based on several reasons to go with Landmark construction energy crew and we are so glad we did. The reasons that made us hiring this company were: - We felt during the meetings that this company is honest, reliable, focus on making the best decisions for the clients and mainly their passion about what they do and provide. Although the results of the remodeling that was done by Landmark construction energy crew has far exceeded our expectations and goals. Charlie's professionalism and experience among with his artistic vision was truly amazing. From the moment of listening to what we really want to achieve to the end of the remodeling of the kitchen – not even one item was left uncovered. My favorite feature in the new kitchen is definitely the breakfast area with the gorgeous energy efficient windows including the seating area that overlooks our pool and back yard area. We really could go on and on with lots of more details and explanations about the attention to detail and amazing design that was done completely by this company, but we rather leave it for others. Our main recommendation about them is that if you think of hiring someone to remodel anything in your house… Than do yourself a favor and hire Landmark construction energy crew. "
"Our Service Tech, Alex Peck, arrived on time to perform the annual check up & tune-up of our HVAC System. He was very professional and following the Tune-Up asked if there was any other items that needed done or looked into that he could take care of. His services were very much appreciated and very professional. Lee"

Window AC units use a fair amount of electricity, but significantly less than central AC systems. Because they are more energy-efficient for cooling individual rooms or small spaces, their usage is comparatively low. On average, a window AC unit consumes between 500 and 1,400 watts, while a central AC system uses over 3,500 watts—meaning a window unit uses about one-third of the energy. This typically translates to a monthly running cost of $15 to $40, although this can vary depending on external factors.
Services by electricians can quickly get expensive, but there are a few ways you can save money in the process:
Bundle multiple jobs done at the same time to save on trip fees or flat fees for individual projects.
Get at least three quotes for service to find the best deal.
Buy fixtures, switches, outlets, and other materials beforehand to avoid product markup.
If you feel comfortable with it, have an apprentice or journeyman complete the work under the supervision of a master electrician. These electricians in training tend to charge less per project.

A good SEER rating for an HVAC system is typically between 15 and 20. However, minimum requirements vary by location; HVAC systems in northern states must have at least a 14 SEER rating, while those in southern states need a minimum of 15. For the highest possible efficiency, look for units with a SEER rating of 21 or higher. It's important to remember that a SEER rating represents the maximum efficiency a unit can achieve, not the level at which it will operate at all times.
