"I have worked with Skip Murphy on a purchase and a sale during the last few years have been consistently impressed by his honesty and integrity, his knowledge and skill as a real estate broker, his professionalism, and his ability to work with people and make things happen. The following thoughts about a recent listing and sale should help understand why I think so highly of Skip. I found him to be exceptionally skillful and professional throughout a long, drawn-out (multi-month) negotiation that could have and probably would have failed if he hadn’t been involved. There were many instances where the buyers were making unreasonable demands and we were prepared to end the negotiations. Fortunately, Skip convinced us that it would be better to counter their demands and stand our ground; a strategy that eventually paid-off in a sale. I also appreciated the advice he gave me on dealing with significant repairs. Of particular note, his proposal that we ask the buyers to adjust their offer price to offset the total cost of a repair saved us thousands of dollars and allowed the buyers to integrate the cost to them into their loan.
