"Cory arrived at the agreed upon time and after I explained what I needed to have done. He gave me a very fair estimate. Not only was debris and scrap wood needing to be hauled off, I wanted an area of dirt smoothed out, weed guard put down and then pea gravel spread over the entire area 3â thick. Cory performed all our agreed work as discussed and he completed the work on the day he said he would. His work is top notch! Y the end of the job, there was no leftover debris, or any unfinished details. Iâ m a retired Plaster and Drywall contractor (42 years experience) And I can honestly say, you wonâ t go wrong trusting this business with your needs! I mean Cory practices what we all want as a consumer, honesty, professionalism, and does it RIGHT the first time. 5 Star service!!!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

When a dishwasher discharges its wastewater, it uses a pump to quickly move a lot of water. If anything in the drain line or the garbage disposal impedes the high volume of water, it will back up into the sink through the drain or the garbage disposal. Following regular dishwasher maintenance tips like clearing clogs, keeping them cleared, and occasionally running the disposal will eliminate the problem.

On average, it takes one to four hours for a professional to install a garbage disposal. This includes removing the old unit, taking necessary measurements for positioning, removing and fitting new pipes, and installing the brand-new disposal system. If there are unforeseen issues, such as accessibility concerns, the process takes longer.
