"Prime Access Control should get 6 stars in my eyes. My mom and I bought a cute house in Long Beach a few years ago with a really bad gate. Our gate was really two 11 foot gates that came together to close our yard. Both of them were rusted and ugly. I would have to use my body weight as a counter balance to open them, Ugh! We requested quotes from many "gate guys". We were told it was too custom, or we would need to redo the whole drive way, or just no thank you. Prime Access Control response was very positive. They told us exactly what needed to be done. The time line we were given was 2-3 weeks to fabricate and one day for install. The gates were done in 1.5 week and installed in half a day. Everything was done exactly as we were told. Now we can open the gates with 1 hand easily. The price was close to what I expected, since they seemed custom. The distance between fence posts depends on the type of fence you’re installing. Wood and metal fence posts should be between 5 feet and 8 feet apart. Chain-link fence posts can be closer together at 4 feet apart, or the spacing can be up to 10 feet apart. Vinyl fence posts can be between 6 feet and 8 feet apart, and wire fence posts can be up to 12 feet apart.

This increases the cost but not as much as replacing or reinstalling the fence would.

You don't need gravel under metal fence posts, but it's always a good idea to add it in. Adding about six inches of gravel before you pour concrete will provide better water drainage, which can help to prolong the lifespan of your new fence and maximize its stability.
