"I highly recommend Jehrich. He was on time, professional and made communication easy. After contacting 2 other companies that had no luck I reached out to Jehrich. He was able to diagnose and resolve issues I had been battling with for months with my pool. He is now my go to guy in the future if I experience any other issues."

"It went great was kept in to loop during the work process. They did a fantastic job on both exterior and interior walls. Installed both the wall scones above the new sink. Painted around the sink. Clean up was OK but all old materials were stacked. I would rehire Mike and his crew again"

"Julian was hired to replace the kitchen sink. Upon arrival, he discovered there was corrosion in the lines that didn’t allow the water to be shut down manually. He replaced the lines installed the kitchen faucet. Everything works beautifully. He did it under two hours. Amazing job, will hire again!"

Adding a spa to a pool is worth it if you use it enough. Adding a built-in spa to an inground pool can cost between $15,000 and $20,000, on top of installing the pool. A separate hot tub costs between $5,000 and $8,000. These prices will vary depending on the hot tub's size, type, and features. Additional costs include maintenance, electricity, and plumbing.

Adding a spa to a new pool installation increases the home's value due to its therapeutic benefits and the added appeal of a heated pool and spa at the time of sale. The cost of adding a spa to a pool ranges from $10,000 to $15,000, depending on size and features. A separate spa or hot tub typically costs between $20,000 and $30,000, also depending on size and included features.

Completing proper pool and spa service increases your home's resale appeal in CA. Buyers view well-maintained outdoor living spaces as high-value amenities. You must keep all equipment updated, as outdated or non-compliant systems reduce buyer interest. Ensure all structural changes and equipment upgrades have pulled permits to avoid delays during escrow. Adding water-efficient features like variable-speed pumps makes the property highly attractive to buyers mindful of drought restrictions.

Helpful?

For pool and spa service in San Diego, choose quartz aggregate or pebble-finish surfaces to resist calcium scaling from hard water. Select UV-resistant materials for decking and equipment covers to withstand the intense sun. Install a variable-speed pump to comply with state energy mandates. Use saltwater-compatible equipment to prevent corrosion. Add a thermal pool cover to retain heat, especially if you live in a coastal neighborhood with heavy marine layers.

Helpful?

Routine pool and spa service requires one to two hours per visit in San Diego. Equipment repairs take one to three days, while replastering requires five to ten days. Full renovations demand three to six weeks. Plan for extended timelines during the late spring demand spike. Because of the mild climate, winterization downtime is not a factor here. Schedule renovations for the fall or winter to avoid the busiest season.

Helpful?

When hiring for pool and spa service, verify the contractor holds an active state license. Professionals must understand local permitting rules and strict CA drought regulations for water conservation. Ensure the contractor installs compliant variable-speed pumps to meet state energy standards. Your pro must also know how to manage the hard municipal water to prevent calcium scaling. Always confirm the contractor carries proper workers' compensation insurance before starting work.
