Ciro Mejia is the man.

This guy totally amazes me.  Ciro took over our build-out after we had an awful experience with a dishonest and incompetent GC.  We decided to finish the build without a GC, and manage it ourselves.  Needless to say we were nervous.   But as soon as Ciro and his guys got to work, I knew that the drywall work was not going to be a significant source of stress.

These guys do great work.  They build beautiful, seamless walls, quickly and efficiently.  Our suite has the oddest angles you will ever see, and Ciro's guys pulled them together with creativity and skill.  They also built wooden frames for 10 doors, and a bomb proof suspension rig for a 200 pound chandelier.

Ciro is fair with his pricing, responsive in communications, and ingenious in finding solutions.  And even though he is a total badass, he's humble enough to know when to say that we need an expert.  When it came to building a suspension frame attached to the roof joists to hold the chandelier, Ciro insisted I have a structural engineer design it and then he would build it.  This was of course, the right call and worked flawlessly.  He and his crew built the frame per design and hid it invisibly behind the hard lid ceilings they built.

Finally, I have known hardworking people all my life, and this guy ranks up there as one of the hardest working people I know.  He and his guys worked nights, weekends, all hours to get the job done.  Then I would wake up and find that he had put together my invoices and sent them at midnight or 1AM.  This guy has drive, skill, good humor, everything you want in a contractor.

"When I closed escrow on my house, I decided to make appointments with several general contractors to get a bid on things that needed to be done. The house was fairly old and needed major renovations done, so it was very important to me to make sure that the contractor I hired had previously done work this big. "We had a kitchen remodeling project redone by replacing all the old cabinets in the same cabinet shapes, adding few new cabinets after expanding the kitchen space and adding a window where the stove is, new marble countertops, designed backsplash, under cabinet sink and faucet and few other items including the high efficiency appliances. Everyone that we came across during the work was: a. extremely professional b. knowledgeable about their area of expertise c. on time d. cheerful e. positive attitudes f. helpful when questions arose g. Efficient. This included the designer, manager, Charlie the project manager, installers and sub-contractors. During the remodeling Charlie took a great care about this project and he made sure to keep the rest of the house as clean as possible. All the people that worked at the house on a daily basis, left the work area neat and clean after each day's efforts. It was refreshing to work with this company because they gave us the best respect and attention while listening to all of our comments and questions. In regards to the documents and contract, the office made sure that we will understand each aspect from it even though it was easy to read and understand.
