"On Dec. 11 someone threw a cinder block through our side living room window very early in the morning. The frame was bent and my husband thought the window would have to be boarded up and we would have to wait for a new window to be ordered. Carlos came out on our emergency call to borad it up and said he could repair the frame and install new glass panes right now. The estimate seemed reasonable so we had it done. Carlos did an excellent job not only in repairing the frame and reinstalling the new window but also on how he performed the job. He carefully removed our curtains, moved our love seat out of the way, cleaned up all the broken glass and vacuumed up the remaining debris. He put everything back in its' place and made sure we were satisfied with everything he had done, which we were. He was very friendly yet professional and if we ever have the misfortune to need emergency glass repair again, or just regular service, we would definiitely call the company again and ask for Carlos. Thanks Carlos for an excellant repair and clean-up job."

"

The cleaners removed the window screen but while cleaning them, they destroyed my windows screen.

I have very high windows and the cleaners left behind water marks all over, did not look very good.

"Great service.Very professional and punctual. I requested a higher quality window tint in order to keep the car cooler which made the price rise somewhat. However, I didn't ever feel like I was getting a hard sell, just that I was being given information. It has been about 6 weeks and the windows look great. No bubbling. No problems. Mark, the owner, was on site the entire time. We will definitely use them again for our other car.

2/17/2015 - Update: After a year, the windows still look great. The car was noticeably cooler during this last year since the windows were done. And still, no bubbling. I highly recommend them!"

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Replacing a window frame will improve your home’s energy efficiency if the old frame is cracked or damaged in a way that allows unconditioned air from the outside into your living space or if you upgrade to a more energy-efficient window frame material. Aluminum is the least energy-efficient window frame material, followed by vinyl and wood. Fiberglass and composite frames are the most energy-efficient.

The average cost for home window tinting is around $600, with most homeowners paying between $150 and $1,600. Costs can also be calculated per square foot, typically ranging from $2 to $100, or per window at around $75 each. For example, tinting one or two windows might cost between $200 and $350, while a larger project of 13 to 15 windows could range from $4,124 to $4,747.

Several factors influence the total project cost, with the number and size of the windows being the most significant. Other key factors include the type, shade, and quality of the tint film, as well as labor costs. Additional treatments, such as low-emissivity (low-E) coatings, can also increase material costs.

Window tinting offers several benefits, such as making your home more energy-efficient by blocking harsh sunlight, protecting furniture from fading, and increasing privacy. For this reason, many homeowners choose to tint only the windows in specific areas where direct sunlight and privacy are primary concerns.

Modern windows provide enhanced UV protection, improved heat retention, and cooling efficiency, contributing to overall household energy savings.

While it is possible to install home window tint yourself, it is a challenging task that is often best left to professionals. The process can be tedious and time-consuming, requiring steady hands and a great deal of patience, especially for a first-time installer.

Common mistakes in DIY applications include visible bubbles, imperfections, and film that either hangs over the edges or doesn't fully cover the glass. These errors not only look unprofessional and detract from your home's curb appeal but can also reduce the tint's effectiveness in blocking sunlight and heat. If you have struggled with applying protective films to smaller items like phones or tablets, you may find this task particularly difficult.

Attempting the installation yourself and making a mistake can lead to wasted material and the additional cost of hiring a professional to fix the issues or redo the job. Although hiring a professional involves labor costs, it typically guarantees a high-quality, seamless appearance and saves you from having to do the work over again.

The costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot, depending on the film type, UV protection level, and labor.
