"Cornelio was great. He did a marvelous job refinishing our bathtub, which was in poor condition. LA Reglazing's price was reasonable, and its service was prompt. Weeks later, we discovered a small bump in the reglazing. I contacted Cornelio, who came out the next day and fixed it at no charge."

"I worked with Amir and his team on our home remodel. I had HomeRenew360 gut and replace a hallway bathroom, refaced our fireplace, mold removal, new doors, new vinyl floors and paint my house interior. As major projects go, plans where modified throughout the project at our request. Amir handled our last minute requests without any issues. More importantly he was able to keep his deadline despite material availability issues. He went above and beyond in his customer service throughout the entire project. My wife and I are in love with our home. The tile work is incredible and our floors are the perfect color and quality, which were found using Amir’s vendor list."

"We are very pleased with Welcome Renovations process. Our bathroom was completed in the exact time was promised, and we can't be more impressed with how things have turned out with the space. The whole process has been so easy, Welcome Renovation handles everything, and you don't have to worry about anything going wrong. Greg makes everything stress free, and the workers he uses are very nice, very prompt and incredibly hard working. We would work with them again in a heart beat."

Customers say: True professional

"When I decided to remodel my kitchen, I wanted to create a look that was unique yet still very functional. To accomplish this goal, it was essential that I hired a contractor that adhered to the design. After receiving multiple project quotes, I hired Stone Age Design & Build. Once the project began, I found the crew to be real craftsmen, each performing skillful framing, electrical, plumbing, tiling, and cabinetry work. Every step of the way, the owner kept me informed of their progress, explained my options when questions arose, and made recommendations that best suited the situation. The finished product came out looking exactly the way I envisioned, and the only cost deviations (to the original quote) were the result of change orders I requested. I wholeheartedly recommend Stone Age Design & Build for any project that demand quality. The results will be used and enjoyed every day you’re in your home!"

"Western Building Solutions is the way to go. We had mold visible in our dry walls and we called them to help fix this issue and their first response was to find out if it had affected our health and if we were ok. We knew they were the company for us then and there. Came out to our house, found the leak causing the mold, patched it up, put up new dry wall in the affected areas and were done with the work in 3 weeks. Thank you for all the help Jay and Matt"

"We want to give Ortam Construction our highest recommendation. Charlie and his son Oran promised us an outstanding bathroom remodel (of two bathrooms) and we could not be more pleased. They had their crew working every day with no dead time. They were on top of all details and had very helpful suggestions. Their price was very reasonable. Although we did make some changes in scope they pretty much accommodated us at their cost, never trying to gouge us or nickel-and-dime us. The bottom line is the workmanship was outstanding, with the project finishing on time and on budget. They will be our first choice for any future construction work"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.

Adding a soaking tub can increase your return on investment (ROI) for a bathroom remodel, with many people recouping a 60% ROI when adding a soaking tub. To get the best value from installing a soaking tub, make sure that your floor plan allows the tub to act as a focal point in your bathroom, adding aesthetic value as well as being practical.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.

Yes. Common materials for Roman tubs are acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and stone resin. The choice you make can depend on various factors, including weight, cost, durability, style, heat retention, and aesthetics. Ultimately, it really depends on your space to determine the best option.
