"They have done such a good job I've called them back three times. They're honest, thorough, and clean. They just do good work. Inter Faith Electric & Fire Inc beat Vivid, Solar City and Verengo's solar price by over $20,000. I would recommend them to anyone, especially for the solar."

"His name is Andrew Johnson. He is going to be doing our carport next. He does all of our electrical but he also does incredible solar. It was around $17,000 for the solar. We have a big house. You can't beat his prices. He doesn't have a huge company. His guys are great. He shows up when he says. He does meticulous work. The city's came out and told him right in front us that he did better than perfect. He lives in our neighborhood. He told him to get on Angie's List"

"Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with no real complaints to speak of.  Overall they get an "A" rating from me, the only ding being a "B" for punctuality due to a postponed appointment.  This might be due to the city inspector, but quite possibly because they were quite a few people handling my account which lead to some information confusion.
The Verengo employees were always very courteous and up front about the information.  You will find many resources prompting you to buy solar if you can, and I would agree, but if you don't have the $20k (estimated) then leasing it is the way to go and here's why:
Your situation may vary, but my lowest electric bill (winter) was $120.  We have a modest 2k sqft home with A/C and evaporative cooler.  We use electricity responsibly, but we are power hungry in that I have a lot of air tools and appliances.  In the summer the bill would push in the mid $500 range depending on how much I was willing to suffer through my evaporative cooler on the 110+ degree weather days. After the engineering, evaluation, installation, and initiation, my bill is a flat $128.  Keep in mind that my lowest bill was $120 and I'm sure that included a vacation and a few days of maximizing darkness.  Electric like fuel will never go down, and even though they will be slight* (you will have your increase schedule) it is still comparably lower than the electric company's yearly price hike.
While I will not truly enjoy *free electric due to the lease, I did manage to lower my electric bill for years to come and the kicker is that I don't have to worry about the maintenance.  To sweeten the deal, if I come across some money and pay my system off in advance, there are no penalties.
So the system works, is remotely monitored, and I'm saving money.  What other concern could you have?  Installation?  The conduit on the sides leading to the inverter were color matched to my home.  I maintain my on evaporative cooler so I frequent the roof and know what things should look like up there.  All of their work is sealed properly and positioned straight.  They even repaired some previously cracked concrete tiles on my roof.  I was impressed by their service.
  • Do your research if in the area, there are multiple solar companies trying to get your business.  In the end I went with Verengo due to the customer service.  I ended up being happy with the price as well.  If you find this review helpful, mention me so we can both get added rebates ;).

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Ridgecrest, homeowners are prioritizing smart home integration, such as automated lighting, Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats, and whole-home surge protection to handle power fluctuations. Energy-efficient LED lighting and ceiling fans are especially popular for managing the desert heat. Outdoor lighting for patios and EV charging station installations are trending, with many choosing modern fixtures in matte black or brushed nickel to complement Ridgecrest’s contemporary home styles.

Helpful?

Electrical project timelines in Ridgecrest vary by scope. Panel upgrades typically take one to two days, while whole-house rewiring may require three to five days. Smart home device installations and outdoor lighting projects often finish within one to two days. Permit processing can add extra time, and local contractor availability may affect scheduling, so it’s best to plan ahead for any electrical work in Ridgecrest.

Helpful?

Ridgecrest’s dry, dusty climate means electrical systems need regular attention. Homeowners should clean electrical panels and outlets to prevent dust buildup, inspect outdoor wiring for sun and heat damage, and check connections for corrosion. It’s wise to schedule quarterly panel inspections, annual checks of HVAC electrical components, and bi-annual cleaning of outdoor fixtures to ensure safe, efficient operation in Ridgecrest’s challenging environment.

Helpful?

Common mistakes in Ridgecrest include underestimating the need for upgraded electrical service to support high-efficiency AC units, using indoor-rated fixtures outdoors, and neglecting dust protection. Failing to plan for proper grounding in sandy soil or skipping required permits can cause safety issues. Always select fixtures rated for high temperatures and work with local professionals familiar with Ridgecrest’s unique climate and electrical needs.

Helpful?

If you notice frequent breaker trips, flickering lights during AC use, or warm electrical panels, these are signs your Ridgecrest home needs attention. Corroded outdoor fixtures, burning odors, or shocks from switches also indicate issues. Homes built before 1990 or lacking sufficient outlets should consider upgrades, particularly before the spring heat increases demand on your electrical system.
