We actually did use them a 2nd time to compliment our back yard with masonry work as well.. and we know for a fact that any future work on concrete or masonry, we will definitely use them AGAIN!! "Robert and his crew were really wonderful and did a great job with our patio! Robert was always on time and did the project in the specified amount of time and for a reasonable price. This was a big job where the original concrete patio had to be removed and a new flagstone patio installed in its place. The new patio really pulls the whole backyard together and is such a great addition! Robert was also very good about making adjustments at our request without hesitation. We will be hiring Robert in the near future for additional home improvements!"

"Athen did an amazing job installing my utility sink. The job turned out to be bigger than what he quoted, but he kept the same price he originally quoted me. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was custom and solid . He was professional, courteous, and friendly. Highly recommend !"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

In most cases, yes, because the large majority of basements leak or will have moisture issues at some point, and waterproofing methods can mitigate that risk or eliminate it entirely. Plus, water and moisture issues can be quite problematic, as they can lead to mold growth, rotting of building materials, structural damage, poor indoor air quality, increased electric bills, and other problems.

Most sump pumps come with power cords that can be plugged into an outlet, but there are options that can be hardwired into a home’s electrical system. Either way, it’s smart to have a backup power supply in case the electricity goes out during a storm. That way, the sump pump can keep running and removing water from the sump pit.

Basement toilets don’t always need a pump. However, it is the most common setup because plumbing systems use gravity to move waste away from the home. Basement toilets often sit below the home’s main sewage system, and installing a sewage ejector pump pushes the wastewater and sewage up to the main sewer line. Alternatively, you can use an upflush or macerator toilet that breaks down the waste and pushes it straight to the main sewer line rather than via a sewer line from the bathroom.

Your sump pump will discharge water through a discharge line or pipe. The discharge line should be placed at least 10–20 feet from the foundation to avoid any issues.

A small sump pump running infrequently uses an average of 10 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per month. The average cost for electricity is $0.171 per kWh. The size and use frequency affect how much electricity it uses. Sump pumps average one-third to one horsepower (hp) motors. One hp is equal to 745.7 watts. Watts multiplied by the time your pump is running divided by 1,000 equals your average kWh. Multiply kWh by your average cost of electricity. In areas with high rain or a marsh basin, the average cost can be as high as $15-$25 a month.
