"I interviewed a few concrete companies and compared their past work and their proposals. James stood out as the best choice for us. And we are not disappointed at all. First of all, James is responsive. No matter how late it is in the evening or over the weekend, James will immediately reply to my texts. James is very considerate. He will listen to your preference and offer you the most cost effective way. James is trustworthy. I asked him to watch for deliveries and put them in the garage for me while he was here. James is accountable. When he plugged in his tool, he accidentally caused a broke out of power in that outlet. He hired an electrician to fix it for us. Last but not least, James is professional and experienced and efficient. His work is the best quality of work we've seen and he gets it done much faster than most concrete companies do. Highly highly recommend you to hire James."

"We had a concrete walkway that had sunk and became a trip hazard. Removing and replacing the concrete would have been more costly and inconvenient than the lift Saber did and the work exceeded expectations. I'm thoroughly pleased and highly recommend Saber to others!"

"Mariano, who is also MB Concrete, did an amazing job. They removed a mature queen palm, hauled away all material and debris after demo and poured a great slab to extend my patio by a few hundred square feet! This was a pro job! Dump and bobcat, concrete truck, you name it! Rebar was tied into the existing slab and it looks like it was part of the original pour! I’d hire them again!"

"Your biggest fear when hiring a contractor are broken promises and the "unexpected " costs. ECR concrete was none of that. Ernesto and crew were prompt on getting me a more than fair quote. They started on time and finished on time. They even fixed a gate for me which was out of scope for the work. They were super friendly and I would definitely hire again. You won't be disappointed if you hire them. Great company producing awesome results."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

Pervious concrete should be between 4 and 8 inches thick to drain water properly. Surfaces like parking lots and driveways should be at least 6 inches thick to accommodate the weight of vehicles, while patios and walkways may be poured between 4 and 6 inches thick. There’s no standard for pervious concrete thickness, but in most cases, the more weight the surface will need to hold, the thicker it should be.

For thin driveway cracks that aren’t widening or lengthening, a polyurethane crack filler is usually the best way to seal the crack and prevent further damage from water and ice. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.

Concrete resurfacing is the process of applying a new, thin layer of concrete over an existing concrete slab to enhance its appearance and durability. The terms 'concrete resurfacing' and 'concrete overlay' are often used interchangeably, though the exact meaning can vary between contractors. Generally, both refer to applying a layer of pre-blended concrete, typically between 1/4-inch and 1-inch thick. Some contractors may use 'overlay' to describe a thicker application that adds structural integrity, while 'resurfacing' might refer to a thinner, more cosmetic layer. This process is a cost-effective alternative to completely replacing the concrete, as it uses significantly less material than pouring a new 4-inch slab. Resurfacing also provides an opportunity to add new colors or stamped textures. Other names for this process include concrete restoration, concrete refinishing, and concrete rejuvenation.

Many services include sealing as part of the repair process. Confirm with your provider.

In general, crack fillers last for about two years on average. That timeline can be shorter if you have extremely harsh winters or longer if you live in a mild climate. Luckily, this product is pretty affordable at the hardware store (about $10 to $30) and easy to DIY, so redoing it every few years shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
