"I hired Sam and his team to redo my driveway and sidewalk. The team arrived on time and did the prep work very quickly. The cost was actually lower than I expected. Later, I needed some minor landscaping work done and they came out and finished that job within a few hours. All the employees that was on site were friendly and professional. "Joshua was prompt (exactly on time, which was fantastic). He put my mind at ease from the moment he arrived. Very quiet; just did his work and did it extremely well and professionally. I could not be happier with the job he did. I enthusiastically recommend him; my only concern is that I might make him too popular!!

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Sealing coat asphalt after 6-12 months and then every 2-3 years is recommended.

To maintain their strength, asphalt driveways and parking lots need to be sealcoated once every two to five years. You may also need to reapply paint striping every few years as it fades to ensure drivers can safely navigate the parking lot.

Asphalt paving offers several benefits, including cost-effectiveness and a quick installation process. It provides a durable and smooth surface, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. With proper maintenance, asphalt also offers longevity.

Sometimes, when people talk about asphalt driveways, they’re actually referring to asphalt concrete, which is a completely different compound. Asphalt concrete is asphaltic cement combined with sand or grit. It is significantly more lasting and durable than regular asphalt but also much more expensive. If you’re considering using asphalt concrete, ask an asphalt company for their expert opinions.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.
