"Garibay's Tree Service did an excellent job! I love that they are a family owned business. I made an appointment with the wife, the husband came out and gave the FREE estimate and their son was in charge of the crew and he cut down the tree and removed the stump. They left my property spotless and cleaned up the entire area where the trees had been trimmed and removed. They were extremely professional and polite, and very respectful and responsive. I give them 5 stars and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for to have their trees trimmed or removed. They were very fast and handled the job well. I was very impressed with everything.   • Chisel and Hammer: This is often considered the easiest approach for those with limited tools or experience, though it is the most time-consuming.

  • Chainsaw: Using a chainsaw is the fastest method, but it comes with significant safety risks, especially for inexperienced users.

  • Burning: This can be an effective method, but it is not recommended unless you can first drill holes into the stump. Without holes, the stump will be difficult to light and may not burn completely through.

A power drill with at least a ⅜-inch diameter bit can make the job quicker and easier, regardless of the primary method. Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.
