I don't like to cut corners and I always try and do repairs and fabrication the best way possible so it doesn't create problems for you in the future. I mainly deal in small fabrication projects and repairs. I am an L.A. City licensed welder in stick and flux core and can also Mig and Tig weld. I am currently working on getting a TIG set up and adding blacksmithing to my skill set. Please don't hesitate to text or call to ask if I am able to do whatever you need welded.

Perhaps in the future, experts and scientists can now develop smaller cells, panels, etc. Check out LA and see the solar powered homes there. You can now start calculating your home’s electrical requirements so that you can determine the right size of the power system. Start with a small project and work your way up but if you can afford to pay for ready-made ones, go ahead.

If a junk removal company or scrap hauler is taking your old appliances, you’ll just need to make sure they’re empty and disconnected before removal. If you’re bringing them to a disposal site yourself, check the site’s guidelines to find out if you need to take any steps to prepare your appliances first, particularly if the appliance uses refrigerants.

Appliances that are smudge-proof stainless steel have a protective clear coating that makes them smudge-proof. Unfortunately, you can’t truly remove a scratch on this surface without also removing that special coating. Your best bet is to let the scratch be or protect it with a small dab of clear nail polish. 

You can risk the option of buffing out the scratches, and be very diligent in coating the area you buffed with oil to reduce the dullness. Just know that if you choose to buff it out, there’s a possibility that the spot won’t look the same as the rest of the appliance.

Considering ovens can last 15 years (and sometimes more), it is likely a better idea to repair a 10-year-old oven, assuming the repair won’t cost more than 50% of the oven’s value. So, for instance, if your oven is worth $1,200 and the repair is only $400, it’s a better option to complete the repair.

While most stoves won’t last two decades, some do! Gas stoves and pellet stoves are more likely to go the distance than electric stoves or induction cooktops, and maintenance can go a long way toward increasing longevity.

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
