Customers say: True professional

"We decided to remodel our outdated bathroom, and McCormick Home Builders was a fantastic choice. Khaled and the team delivered high-quality work within the timeline and our budget. Every detail, from the tile work to the lighting, was beautifully done. They communicated well throughout, keeping us informed at every step, and the end result was truly a spa-like bathroom we can enjoy daily. We’d love to work with them again!"

"If you’re thinking about getting a new roof, definitely go with Build Atlas. I’m in my mid-20s and had no idea where to even start, but a neighbor recommended them and I’m so glad that they did! The whole team was super friendly, down-to-earth, and made the entire process way less stressful than I imagined. They showed up when they said they would, kept everything clean, and finished faster than I expected. Plus, the roof looks fantastic — it’s like my house got a facelift! It’s rare to find a company that’s this easy to work with!"

"We finally have a bathroom that feels like a luxury hotel. The walk-in shower, custom vanity, tile work, and lighting all came together perfectly. Every detail was done with precision, and the quality is obvious the moment you walk in. The crew was always on time, kept the work area clean, and made the entire remodeling process much less stressful than we expected. We couldn’t be happier with the transformation and would absolutely choose Builders Group again for our next project"

"Definitely would highly recommend Cerletti & Kennedy! We contacted them for a full kitchen remodel and entire home flooring installation. First met with Matt a conscientious and detailed design engineer who listened to my ideas, did the technical drawings and measurements including brainstorming how the design would work. Matt created a wonderful design of the kitchenâ cabinets, countertops, lighting, backsplash, down to the finishes for example cabinet and drawer pulls and handles. The kitchen including the appliances is beautiful! Robert gave us a bid on the project and was the contractor in charge of the crews and coordinated trades from demo to installation of plumbing, electrical, dry wall, cabinets, lighting, etc. Although there was a slight delay of a week or two the job was completed and professional done. The crews were polite, hard working and respectful of your property. The photos speak for themselves! Thank you Cerletti & Kennedy Best, Julie and John Torell"

Storm Shelters FAQs, answered by experts

Whether it’s more affordable to gut a house than build a new one depends on the markets where you'd be buying and selling. However, it’s usually less expensive to renovate a home than to build new construction.

Most homeowners pay between $100,000 and $200,000 for demolition and remodeling costs, whereas the average cost to build a new home is between $139,000 and $531,300.

A storm shelter's size depends on the number of people who will use it and the types of storms it provides protection from. Tornadoes typically only last a few minutes, so you don't need to spend very long in the shelter when one passes by. You'll want a tornado shelter that's big enough to provide 5 square feet of space per person.

Hurricanes usually last much longer than tornadoes, so you may find yourself in the shelter for hours, not minutes, if you’re facing one. If you're installing a hurricane shelter, you'll need at least 7 square feet per person.

The steep slope of an A-frame roof withstands high winds, heavy rain, and heavy snowfall, making them popular all over the world. A-frames also offer simple, quick construction. Finally, an A-frame typically has large windows on the non-roof sides to let in a maximum amount of natural light. Consequently, they are often an affordable building solution for the right homeowner and location.

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.

Modular homes are more affordable than stick-built homes if you keep quality and square footage equal. The cost to build a home averages $323,000, while average modular home prices sit at {AvgCost}. If you’re looking for custom or luxury options, a traditional custom home costs $825,000, while a high-end modular home costs $600,000, on average.
