"Arrived on time and completed work quickly and neatly. When there was a problem with the pump that was installed they came and fixed it without any hassle. I did not have to be at home for them to complete the work which was a plus. Misunderstanding regarding the cost was settled without any difficulties. Would recommend and use again."

"The two man team, Pete and Jerry from the San Francisco Garden Man worked tirelessly for 5 hours to complete the job of clearing and hauling away my jungle of weeds in my backyard.  They are friendly, professional and very hard workers. What they charged me was more than fair.

They exceeded my expectations in both the actual work that was done and the way in which they did it.

Pete called me back within 4 minutes of my initial call to him. That really set a positive tone.

I look forward to utilizing his yard services again in the near future. I highly recommend their service."

"The estimate and work were done by Chot- Ton's father. He was knowledgeable about my local soil conditions- pH under redwood tree and necessary soil amendments and suggested the best sod for local conditions. He was able to come and install it in two days and did a very meticulous job. He adjusted the sprinklers. Reasonable price. It helped that I had drawn a design for him to follow. Overall a perfect 10 for service and attention to details. I recommend him highly, He also advised care for the lawn in short term and in future, I may have him maintain it,"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

One of the most important parts of building a pond is digging the right depth. Your pond needs to be at least one to two feet deep. The specifics of the depth will depend on factors such as the placement of the pond and whether you plan on having fish. If you have fish in your pond, it will need to be at least two feet deep.

Fountain maintenance is an important part of having a clean foundation in the first place. To keep your fountain water clean, you can use a water additive designed specifically to limit scale, algae, and other buildup in fountains. Or opt to use white vinegar as a pantry-ready water additive.

Installing an outdoor water fountain costs $2,700 on average, not including the cost of the unit. Prices range from $150 to $10,650, depending on your location, the type of fountain, size, and accessibility to the site. Self-contained fountains and water features recirculate the water within the unit. Depending on size and features like multi-tiered cascading bowls, they typically cost from $50 to $5,000. More elaborate fountains with waterfalls and ponds can cost from $450 to $10,000 or more.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.
